The letters are signed and are clearly on headed bank stationary but don’t have a stamp. I asked the manager of the bank (HSBC) and they said they don’t do stamps for that and the template letter they do is what they’ve used for customers who make these requests. I guess that is not a problem ?
They are correct as no further stamping will be needed over official stationery which alone is enough.
Thats good to know.
Yeah it seems it isn't possible for them to stamp anything as I read quite a few things from other people applying saying the same thing.
One thing I have just realised is my salary gets paid in on the 28th of the month and my last bank statement is dated until the 26th. I just went in and asked them for another one for today's date but they were only able to print out a 'Temporary Statement' which has the balances, is on headed paper but doesn't have my address and is very clearly in a different format to the ones I requested in the post. Its got my name obviously, account number and shows my last salary payment. I guess that is ok? Not sure what else I can do here, conscious the 28 day rule has now started.
I have written a combined savings and declaration letter for the two accounts. Is it ok to do that all on 1 page, both accounts are from the same bank, one is just a savings account. I found a good template online and said how I am using my savings to make up the shortfall as my salary is just below the minimum requirement and declared the source of funds. I also listed all the 3 types of supporting documents (statements for each account & cover letters from bank)
As my money is split between them its not obvious to work out the lowest amount in the past 6 months. I have worked it out to be around 22,000 is it worth just writing a line in the letter saying this? I don't want them to think I am doing their job for them but equally given a number of transfers between the accounts 4 or 5 months ago it makes it a bit confusing.
Thanks again!
