Using Exceptional talent recommendation letter for Global Talent

Post by buntyc » Fri May 22, 2020 2:10 pm

I am reapplying for Tier 1 visa. I had applied for Exceptional Talent Visa in Feb 2020 and my application was not successful. I want to apply for the Global Talent Visa now with new evidence.
My questions:
1. Can I use the recommendation letter addressed to or recommending me for Exceptional Promise (instead of Global Talent)? Does that impact my chances for an endorsement?
2. How much older letters can I use? Can I use letter dated Jan 2020 and Feb 2020 to apply in June 2020?

It is difficult to get new letters now due to COVID 19. Please advice. Thank you in advance.

Yes we did apply with the same recommendation letter and got the endorsement. we also got a confirmation from the art council that we may do so. Best of Luck. Hope this helps.

Thank you so much for prompt reply. I had applied a year before in Exceptional Talent but unfortunately it was not endorsed. My recommendation letters are one year old. And now it was changed to Global Talent. So really do not know whether same recommendation letter will work or I have to change another one? Will same person who have given recommendation letter will work or not?

Hi Bunty,

What was the rejection reason and how did you overcome it.

Hi Bunty,

What was the rejection reason and how did you overcome it.
One of the requirement was media recogination. Submitted news paper article where
1. I was a judge
2. My students art work were featured in a prominent NEWS paper.

- under review i become aware they wanted critique of my art work. I submitted a different blog on my art work. Got the endorsement. Thanks/
