I am thinking of booking an appointment this minute... Really fed up of waiting as I might loose my confirmed place at uni this September...😭
I've literally just booked next day appointment £135. I dont care anymore, enough of waiting and looking at people applied way after me and way before me getting decisions.

Waited more than 5 months !

I will update here.
Hiya... How did it go with your appointment today?
Well well well.

I was there 30 mins early. So they took me in with no hassle.

So it took 10 mins. Fingers prints, Photo and Electronic sign on the pad.

Appointment at 12 pm.

ILR APPROVAL at 3 pm !!!!

The person said to me there isn't any note on your application so nothing is required.

If the photo on my BRP is from the appointment then it might be pre checked application awaiting biometrics. If not, then this was IDV app application approval. I will post this t once I receive the BRP.

Oh one more thing, Cullinan was right as long as my passport was valid at application then there is no issues if passport is expired at biometric stage.

Thank you to all the moderators. You lot have helped alot.

Much appreciated !
Congratulations shahkb. You should have a good night sleep after 5 months of waiting
Any suggestions I make in the forum are out my personal experience and should not be taken as a legal/professional advise.

@shahkb.
Can you check on right to work with new BRP number?
I have read somewhere that it is changed immediately on system and is accessible.

Usually you can do this, yes. I am able to see my ILR with my old BRP. A few people have problems though.

Congrats @shahkb, if you check on right to work wesbite and even if you put your old BRP number, you will see the new picture which is now in their database.

My BRP hasn't arrived but I could see my new picture in colour which was clicked during my biometric on Monday.

Hope my question is relevant to this forum, and I could not find any direct answer similar to my situation yet.
I applied for ILR SET(O) from T2G on 23rd April, photos submitted through the IDV app on 26th Aug.
I received no update whatsoever from UKVI till now and no information about the outcome of my application.
My application was very straight forward as I had no absence, no dependent, no criminal record, and the rest of the criteria were crystal clear in my application.
1- What on earth people applied in May/August received the decision letter?
2- Although I submitted trough that useless IDV app, still can I opt-out and book an appointment?
3- If UKVI dates my ILR BRP in September, this will be so unfair. I could get it much earlier with the in-person application and saved that duration towards the 12month British citizenship qualification period.
4- My T2G visa expired in June and I have to leave the country for an emergency reason. What can I do now?
Please can someone advise me on the questions above?
Thanks

Someone who applied on 31st Aug has reported to have received an email to book an appointment.
Can others who applied on/after 28th Aug check you maybe able to book now?

My friend who applied on the 31/08/20 just received an email to book an appointment. Kindly check your UKVCAS if you fall into this category!

Hi @Cullinan, Thanks for the hint. Yes I could see appoinments. Applied ILR SET(O) T2G on Sep 04th.

I have a doubt , my previous employer absence letter has any significance at all if I have taken leaves just to travel home which is well within the limits of 180 days.

Hello,

Quick question - is it sufficient to carry only the original documents for the apointment or do we need to carry photocopies as well? I have uploaded all docs in Ukvcas website .

Thanks

Hi, I checked my old brp and this is what comes: Your biometric residence card or permit is not valid

Your biometric residence card or permit has either:

expired
been reported lost or stolen
But I applied on 5th of July set m and had biometric one week ago and my brother has not expired yet. What does it mean.
