Someone who applied on 31st Aug has reported to have received an email to book an appointment.
Can others who applied on/after 28th Aug check you maybe able to book now?

Quick update on IDV and appointments access
04/09 applicant, received IDV invitation tonight at 9.14pm but I could login and see appointments 1h or so before email. Booked an appointment at Lansdowne Road for Saturday 12/09 (paid £121.5).

Seems like backlog is close to being cleared. You got an appointment 1 week from your application date. Priority services could start to open in October with this rate.

I've literally just booked next day appointment £135. I dont care anymore, enough of waiting and looking at people applied way after me and way before me getting decisions.
Waited more than 5 months !
I will update here.
Hiya... How did it go with your appointment today?
Well well well.
I was there 30 mins early. So they took me in with no hassle.
So it took 10 mins. Fingers prints, Photo and Electronic sign on the pad.
Appointment at 12 pm.
ILR APPROVAL at 3 pm !!!!
The person said to me there isn't any note on your application so nothing is required.
If the photo on my BRP is from the appointment then it might be pre checked application awaiting biometrics. If not, then this was IDV app application approval. I will post this t once I receive the BRP.
Oh one more thing, Cullinan was right as long as my passport was valid at application then there is
no issues if passport is expired at biometric stage.
Thank you to all the moderators. You lot have helped alot.
Much appreciated !
Congrats if thats the case you would have broken fasts record for approval
I think i did. I was going to mention that. Thank you !
Just waiting for BRP

I dont think so. The SMS service is useless anyways.

You have to submit your documents (if you still have not uploaded via UKVCAS) and carry out IDV verification:
Take a selfie
Liveliness Check
Take a photo of your passport

So when is the picture on the right to work site supposed to change? After approval or straight after in person BRP appointment?
I had an an in person appointment today but it is still the same picture on the right to work site
I am starting to suspect the UKVCAS person didn’t submit my documents. (She was nice but her technical skills were a bit rusty. It was not London with its stream of applicants
)
Someone calm me down

@shahkb.
Can you check on right to work with new BRP number?
I have read somewhere that it is changed immediately on system and is accessible.
Congrats @shahkb, if you check on right to work wesbite and even if you put your old BRP number, you will see the new picture which is now in their database.

My BRP hasn't arrived but I could see my new picture in colour which was clicked during my biometric on Monday.
Hi
Can I ask when did you notice the picture changed for old brp? Is that after you receive the decision letter? Or after you receive the new brp?

Thank you Cullinan. Quick question: When I submit the online application through UKVI, it stated two mandatory documents (my current BRP and passport) but in the app, I didn't see the mandatory document, I can only see Optional documents. I sent email to UKVCAS last week but haven't got any reply. Is this something to worry about or I can upload my documents under different sections of Optional Documents? Thank you

Have just seen (on an FB group) the screenshot of the email being sent to people today. It mentions applications received between 29th Aug - 4th Sept. So anyone who has applied on/between these dates, best get checking on appointments/app login!

@Jahbratrhodes
The UKVCAS/IDV app design only classifies your passport as the mandatory document. All other documents go in optional categories (even if mandatory). If you have already uploaded documents via UKVCAS, you should be able to view the same on the IDV app. No need to upload again in this case.

You'll have to substantiate with cogent arguments why dual submission is
not recommended?
Is there evidence that dual submission hurts prospects? If so, how?
Such strong statements without citations to the original source don't help (unless it's made abundantly clear that it's merely a personal opinion and not based on UKVIs official guidance).

Any suggestions I make in the forum are out my personal experience and should not be taken as a legal/professional advise.
