Hello,

Applicatioin recieved 22nd July 2004
Payment: no payment (country is excempt)
Ref.Num: 231xx
Job offer sent : 8th April 2005

I also had to switch to an in-country applicant as my company actually issued a work permit.

Well done! Congratulations! :D

So, you didn't send them urgent treatment request, did you?

It seems like they are processing end of July applications now...

Hello
Sisil, the bugmaster is from Romania

Bug, what field are you in? And how did you get a job offer?
I have actually gotten EC already, but I wanna see whether I can also get a job before I move in end of may.

Hi, in fact I am from Bulgaria.
the thing is that I came in the UK on work permit as my current employer wanted to send me for a short project here.
While in the Uk I started job hunting and was able to reach the phase where one of the prospective employers wrote me a letter saying that he is interested in my skills and would definately consider my application in case I obtain HSMP. Obviously this letter was enough to move my application to the urgent queue.
I am in IT. Unfortunately I doubt job hunting while not in UK could be succesful. I tried myself and I've read many others opinions. Could happen but only if your skills are in big demand and there're no other suitable candidates.
Good Luck!

In fact I am an in-country applicant and will only do a switch between WP and HSMP.
Thanks anyway!

Congrats also, Bugmaster.

Your ability to receive your HSMP using a job consideration letter instead of a job offer letter has given me much hope! I'm certain I can get the former (as I am tired of waiting since Sept).

One question I had: how detailed was the letter your prospective employer wrote? I assume it also included the job title, job description and salary range.

Thanks.

If your application is approved they do not state the points they gave you.
I have claimed 100 points so I don't really know whether they did or did not award me points for each of the sections.
I have a Master degree from University of Economics in Varna, I guess they accept it as Bachelor as well.

Dear bugmaster you have stated that you had changed the status to in-country. Could you please write what is the procedure to change the status, either from in-country to out-of-country or vice versa.

why took so long ??

Post by cbobarna » Mon Apr 25, 2005 9:09 am

Hello everybody
Congratulations bugmaster

I’m wonder why took so long until you receive the approval letter. It is because you are from Bulgaria?

Are the applications for HSMP treated different based on the country of applicant?

I’m from Romania and I also plan to apply for HSMP.

In fact I believe the delay is caused by the fact that my application is from July and we all know that many people whose applications are between July and Nov are still waiting.

Cbobarna, I am from Bulgaria also and I get my decision in less than a month, my husband decision is not done yet (we have posted the documents together but in separate applications). So I think that we can not find some logic in the country you are coming from.
