For those who have completed a PBS Dependent Visa application, I’m interested to know when you have to enter the UK. Are you able to put a date of travel on your application with some leeway or is it a case of X months after the application is approved?

Though not used the PBS before but other visas also has this option. It is to give an idea of your tentative travel plans. Most applications are determined way after the date indicated by applicant. And with the current COVID-19 situation and resurgence who knows how soon or otherwise it will take.
There is the leeway, if you have a particular date in mind, put it, if not put a date by which you would think you should have your visa.
