Tier 2 dependent visa extension

Post by vab » Sun Sep 20, 2020 4:22 am

Thanks Everyone in this forum.

I got my ilr approval this week.

My next plan is to extend my wife visa. She is on pbs dependent visa valid up to 14 Jan 2021.

Questions-

1 how long before she can apply for extensions? I m thinking to apply this week. Is this possible?

2. Can she extend her visa as pbs dependent considering that my ilr is on tier 2 and 5 years route?

I split this post to the tier 2 sub forum as these questions are not relevant to your ilr topic or the ilr sub forum.
1 how long before she can apply for extensions? I m thinking to apply this week. Is this possible?
Anytime, provided you/she meets the 90 days maintenance funds requirements.
2. Can she extend her visa as pbs dependent considering that my ilr is on tier 2 and 5 years route?
Yes. It will be a 3 year extension.note that IHS increases on 1st October.

No.

Your employment is irrelevant.
For funds: what are docs required?
90 days bank statements showing £630 for each dependent applying. The balance must not have dropped below £630 at any time in the 90 days.

Thank CR001

I have filled the application form for my wife as dependent to extend her stay. These questions are asked. Can you please comments if they have been answered correctly?
Please note that I was Tier 2 General but now on ILR.

1. Which visa or permission to stay has (My name ) applied for or been granted?
Ans: Tier 2 (General) leave to remain
2. Does (My name) have indefinite leave to remain or British citizenship?
Ans: Yes
3. Is (my-name)'s work in a shortage occupation?
Ans: No. ( as stated in my last CoS) SOC code 2119

4. What is the length of (my-name)'s Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS)?
Ans. 3 years or less

5. Has (my-name)'s sponsor agreed to certify your maintenance?
Ans. No.

Re bank statements: Whose bank statements I need to provide? Mine or her? She is dependent + She has bank accounts but not enough funds. In documents category they refer your bank accountant ( which I understand as applicant). Correct me if I am wrong.

Re Document for living together: We do not have joint account or both name in single bills. But, We can provide our bank statements showing common addresses since when she moved to UK. Any suggestions here.

On the other note, we are expecting child in Oct so Should I delay her application and add dependent child as well.

considering that I have ILR ( one parents), will our child be considered as citizen and exempt for VISA and IHS surcharges?

TIA

1 - 5 All fine
Re bank statements: Whose bank statements I need to provide? Mine or her? She is dependent + She has bank accounts but not enough funds. In documents category they refer your bank accountant ( which I understand as applicant). Correct me if I am wrong.
Either.
Re Document for living together: We do not have joint account or both name in single bills. But, We can provide our bank statements showing common addresses since when she moved to UK. Any suggestions here.
You need last 2 years evidence from about 6 different sources in individual names for both of you, spread evenly for every 3 to 4 months.
On the other note, we are expecting child in Oct so Should I delay her application and add dependent child as well.
No, child is automatically British if born in the UK to a parent that holds ilr.
considering that I have ILR ( one parents), will our child be considered as citizen and exempt for VISA and IHS surcharges?
See comment above, providers child is born in the UK.

Thanks CR001

Can you please correct my understanding on this as I am not good in English. Yaa, I am still surviving here.

Let's assume we both having separate bank accounts. We both can provide our bank statements for last 2 years in 4 months interval. Total 12 statements ( 6 for me and 6 for her).
Is that what you mean be 6 different sources or something I misunderstood?

Will it work for entire two years if we both provide our driving licenses only?

You need different sources, ie utility bills, tenancy agreement, council tax, TV licence, HMRC letters, NHS letters, etc etc etc.

Only a driver's licence is NOT sufficient.

Hi can you help to prepare documents.

1. She came UK in July 2019 on PBS dependent VISA. I was renting private property without agreement and was sharing with landlords so we were not paying any bills.
2. She opened her Bank account in August 2019 and registered with NHS in August 2019.
3. We moved to new property with tenancy agreement in March 2020. Agreements have both name.
4. Only on council tax bills, her name is mentioned with me. All utilities bills are having my name only.

We have bank statements throughout duration and all I have mentioned above for her.

Please advise

Hi

I have finalized documents and will submit in few days. I would like to give second thoughts for Employer letter explaining my work status and salaries.

Though, it was not mentioned in doc check lists but just in case if it is required.

Any suggestions.

It is NOT required!! Your employment is irrelevant to a PBS dependent extension if you hold ILR.

Hi

On the other note, What should in include the end date to pay IHS free for her. Considering to submit payment today (27/09/2020) for IHS - If I choose my current ILR end date (31/12/2024) I will pay GBP1800 but if I choose my end date as 26/09/2023 ( 3 years from today) I need tp pay only GBP1200.

What should I do? A little bit confused.

TIA

Hi

I sumbitred her application on 27th September. She is given a time to book appointments before 27th November. I booked appointment for 9th October but today she got news that she will be admitted to hospital to give birth.

Is it possible to book appintment somewhere in 1st or 2nd week of November. Will HO refuse application beacuse of delay in Biometrics.

You can change the appointment to November, you clearly have been given till 27th November to enroll biometrics.

No, that is why you are given a date by which to enroll as the latest date.
