These are my application details:

Type : Fresh Tier 1 General
Application date : 24th July, 2008
Applied at : VFS Delhi
Status : Visa approved on 19th August, 2008

Took less than 4 working weeks for my application.

Congratulations vtaneja,

It was really fast. But BHC Chennai is really horrible.
Each day I hear different version of my application status from BHC chennai. Already 1 month and 10 passed.

Did you submit any information of your previous employer or they have got it from other source.
I think you don't need to submit previous employment history if it falls out side last 12/15 months period

Dear All,

Finally i got it today... Tier 1 for 3 years.. It was long wait. My timelines are below:

Application type - Fresh Tier 1 (General)
Application date - 04-Jul-08
Applied from - VFS Chennai
Integra report - took a long time - 15-Aug-08
Collected stamped passport - 22-Aug-08
Total time - 7 weeks

This forum has been very helpful to me and i would like to thank everyone helping me to get my visa.

Any queries please let me know.

Hey All,

I am very happy today as I got my Tier 1 Visa approved today and it is stamped for 3 years.

Here is my timeline:

Visa Applied: 30 July, 2008
Passport received: 22nd August, 2008
Total time: 17 working days.

I had applied on 21st July 2008 from VFS Hyderabad. The VFS people told me that it takes 18 working days. But till date I have not received any news.

The Tacking Site only say "You Application has ben forwarded to Chennai".

any1 else also waiting this long.

I applied on 15th July and have been still waiting.. there are others who have applied even before me and are still waiting.. so, don't get too worried

though i had not requested for post dated visa i got it stamped from oct 9 2008 to 2011.

This is Dheeren from Hyderabad, and my application details are:

Application Date: 23rd July,2008
Applied From: VFS, Hyderabad
Visa Type: Tier1 General(Fresh)

I wrote to Visa Enquiry this morning asking why the status remained unchanged, and also to intimate the BHC about proposed change in my employer( as I will be quitting TCS, Hyderabad and joining IBM, Delhi).

The response I got was as follows:

Dear Mr Dheeren,
Thank you for your email. The verification checks have been completed .The below mentioned application is yet to be assessed by the Entry Clearance Officer as it is following a queue. It will be assessed as soon as it reaches the end of the queue.

Could any one please tell me how many more days can it take from now on? It seems Integra Verification is done but the final decision is pending.

Still waiting for EC approval. No change in status till date.

Finally I received my passport with visa today. The complete process took 8 weeks.

I am new member and this is my first post. Congrats for those who got the visa.

After going trough the forum, I could notice that the supporting documents requirement is varying for each location where we submit the application.
I am planning to apply from VFS chennai. I see lot of application are through in chennai here. Any one who applied in chennai and got Tier1 fresh visa (without HSMP approval letter) let me know all the documents submitted with application. I am applying for dependent (wife) also. So that I can follow the same.
