Permission to Remain Based on Marriage to Irish National

Post by kevo » Fri Sep 05, 2008 1:34 pm

Does anyone know the current processing times for applications to remain in ireland based on marriage to an Irish national?

My wife sent in her application in March (and immediately sent in items subsequently requested). The letter we received back indicated a current processing time of 9 - 12 months.

Does anyone know if they've got any quicker (or slower).

Thank you

If you went back home and applied there, it's 2-4 weeks, unbelievable!! Its automatic you will get permission, maybe they are not too bothered.

i know it's ridiculous. I think we may need to leave and apply from her home if it doesn't come after 12/13 months.
