Did you check if you can access IDV also??
No. But it’s advisable to carry originals only. No soft copies are needed. Just in case a poor scan needs to be redone on the safer side. They will not check though. Only your passport and appointment confirmation is mandatory.
Thanks Cullinan, I'm confident on my scans being good but I will keep this in mind just in case. Appointment confirmation they are pushing for us to bring it on paper but it looks like they will accept as well scanning the QR code from my mobile phone.
I called them yesterday as my 6months standard processing times expired yesterday. First, they won't connect me to the caseworkers who is considering all our 5 applications. Second, they gave an excuse that some of the caseworkers are working from home so the 6month processing times might not apply. Third, they ask me to just wait and the current processing times don't apply. But here is why I think they are treating this as a joke, I think IDV submissions are not going to them.lifeRockss1 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 23, 2020 7:54 pmthanks, mate, if you hadn't booked your Friday's appointment, would have asked you to double-check by selecting Leeds centre. will wait to see your result on Friday before booking myself in.
It's really a joke and not sure if HO is aware that the app submission isn't sent to them on time.
Attend an appointment. If you do no hear anything even after 1 week of attending an appointment, contact your MP.Ritchie12 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 24, 2020 10:23 amI called them yesterday as my 6months standard processing times expired yesterday. Guys, any suggestions, what do i do next?
Thanks Cullinan. Has anyone experience this long wait before? Has anyone had success in such a situation. Any experience will calm down my anxiety levels now. Great news! Congratulations Lespa! Fingers crossed, my appointment is tomorrow!!Lespa wrote: ↑Thu Sep 24, 2020 12:58 pmAnd another one.... day after biometric appointment at UKVCAS I receive approval email.
I am sure that IDV works for some, but there is a clear pattern of people submitting IDV and waiting for weeks and yet after physical appointment they get decision in day or two, sometimes within hours.
Anyway, just for reference, original application 14.04., IDV 24.08., Biometric appointment 23.09., decision 24.09
(Apologies for the timeline format above, just saves people time to look through my posts)
Thanks mate. Hope it goes well for you too. I am pretty sure there is some technical issue with IDV app that we are not aware of. Whether its within the app itself or maybe with the way submissions are sent to Home Office... who knows.CULLINAN wrote: ↑Thu Sep 24, 2020 1:00 pmGreat news! Congratulations Lespa! Return to normal UKVCAS service
We are delighted to announce that our normal UKVCAS service has resumed. This means that UKVCAS customers (except T4 students) can book an appointment at a UKVCAS Service Point as soon as they register with us and no longer need to wait to receive an invitation email. This includes customers who registered on or after 19 September 2020.
@vardhan88, do you all have the same timelines? Did you do the IDV submissions on the same day? Can you discuss or share more. It could give some of us some hope.vardhan88 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 24, 2020 1:20 pmpossibly coincidence.Lespa wrote: ↑Thu Sep 24, 2020 12:58 pmAnd another one.... day after biometric appointment at UKVCAS I receive approval email.

Me and a couple of my mates got decision today and we all didn't go through with biometric appointment.
He can cancel and change to another one. He will get another appointment depending on the availability at that point in time which maybe in October.Ritchie12 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 24, 2020 8:04 pmQuestion from a mate, guys. He has booked an appointment for Monday the 28th but is going on a business meeting in Brussels. Can he change it on the UKVCAS website.
From what I can see on my appointment that's a No. He would have to cancel and rebook for another day. Is that true? What do others see?
Cheers
