Citizenship ceremony query

Post by justaquery » Thu Sep 24, 2020 9:29 pm

Hi all

I got my citizenship approval email on 23 Sep and it mentioned that citizenship ceremony invites can take up to 12 weeks to be received.

However, I’ve been hearing of cases where the council received the confirmation from the home office yet the applicant had not received the ceremony invitation yet. In two weeks time, should I email my local council and ask them if they have received my information from the home office?

Is it possible to attend a citizenship ceremony without the home office invite if the council has received it and booked you in?

Will the citizenship invite be sent by post to my home address or emailed to me?

Many thanks
