I only inquired and was told about the Islamabad Gerry VAC.
Not sure about the other offices.

its just we checked in mirpur a few days ago and it was clsd, i think it was due to 1st ramadhan, not sure at the momenty

Hi Lovebird,

Which VAC did you apply at & have you tried contacting them on visqry2.islamabad@fco.gov.uk ???

If you havent, it may be worth trying!! I emailed them & was told that my wifes passport is being sent to Gerrys for collection

so inshallah you may hear some postive news.

Also, and this probably applies to everyone, with the reduced hours the VAC are operating, I wouldnt trust the website to be updated quickly!!.

The call center get their info from the website!!.

I called the VAC this morning & they said that if the BHC have confirmed (i have the email confirmation) that the passport is been sent then to get my missus to pop down to the Gerry office for collection.

My missus is going to pop to Islamabad next week ... please pray that her passport has that Visa Stamp!!!!!

hi oahmed, my husband applied at mirpur vac on 26 june, and yeh i have emailled them and they emailed me back on 27 aug saying that my application is being examined and they cant give me exact time of when it will be completed,
im getting sooooo worried, people are getting responses these days and im not.

i hope u n sohail get visa, i will pray for u guys n others,

hi there

my wife applied on 2nd july, and i emailed them first about a week ago when they sent the automated email respond which also said your application has not been assessed yet

i then emailed them again and they said that " i can confirm that (my wifes name ) passport will be ready for collection at gerry's internation.

pls pray that visa has been granted

I will pray Sohail.If they said the passport will be ready and sent to gerrys office then that means she has got the visa.Thats really good news bet ur happy uv got nothin to be worried about inshallah shes got it.The office closes early now due to ramadan so make sure she knows that and knows what time to go.Let us all know what happens keep us updated.

Hi Guys Same response on the website I don't have a letter from my wife so I can't email them. My wife applied on the 3rd of July surely we should hear something soon. I just don't know what to do. It's really frustrating.

Congrats To Sohail N Oahmed well Atleast you Have Got A reply And InshAllah You Will Get A good Postive Reply From Them i Am Prayin 4 Each N Every1 Who Is In The Same Boat As Me ..Please Do pray 4 me To Guys Its Been A Whole Year Since I Seen My Hubby N Was Once Refused Before ..So really Worried why They Taking So Long This time

Inshaallah all will be fine and what was the reason for refusal as appeals normally do not take that long.

ChelseaRule - I think you should try emailing them anyway!! The ISL VAC has been shut all week so the website wont change. Contact the BHC and you might get a response. Worth trying.

Inshallah you and everyone will get some good news. Please keep praying that the visa is on the passport!!

Normally takes a couple of days - my response was received in 3 days.

Hi folks,

I just randomly thought of checking the website & it appears Gerrys are updating their site at last - my status now reads:

'Your application is ready for collection; please visit the UK Visa Application Centre where you submitted your visa application to collect the same 05 Sep 2008'

At last!!

I will keep you posted on next weeks developments.

ChelseaRule / Faisel - guys i would recommend you check the websites and at least email the BHC to find out whats going on!!

Me & Sohail have got responses and you guys applied around the same time.

mine is an appeal case submitted in march which makes it 5 months, and i emailed they adress u gave me but they gave me another one howevere they are not replyng? i dont no wot to do
