abhishek7749 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 18, 2020 6:15 pmHi All,
I need to apply for my wife's ILR application. Her current visa expires in Dec 2020 and she is eligible for ILR in July. I was on Tier 1 general and now BC. She has been on PBS dependent visa throughout last 5 years.
I understand we need to apply Set O.
She is yet to get the Life in The UK test and B1 English Qual.
My questions
1. Can I submit the Online application and pay fees without the above 2 documents and submit these later. Or should I wait for these certificates before I apply. I was hoping that submitting the application early would put me ahead in the queue.
2. I am assuming for a straightforward ILR application, the process should not take more than 4 months.
Please advice.
Reply as you have passed these to keep the application in move and then add a covering letter.abhishek7749 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 26, 2020 10:26 amThanks.
I am submitting the application now to the UKVI.
However, for the following questions
1) Have you passed the Life in the UK test?
2)Have you passed an approved English language test?
How should I respond to the above questions, as my wife has not taken the test yet?
The test dates are in the future.
Thanks for your guidance.
Kind Regards,

My wife has now cleared the Life In the UK test . She has just got the reference number.
Please guide us as to which document to upload as a proof of clearing the life in the Uk Exam.

If you pass the test
You must score 75% or more to pass the test.
You’ll get a ‘unique reference number’. You’ll need this number to complete your citizenship or settlement application. The Home Office will use it to check that you’ve passed.
Yes.abhishek7749 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 02, 2020 5:39 pmThanks.
So i am assuming that in the cover letter noting the Unique reference number as a proof of Life in the UK Test should be sufficient.
You need to show cohabitation documents for the last 2 years counting back from date of application. You have to prove you have had a subsisting relationship. Only council tax is not enough. You need to supply documents from 3/4 different sources, evenly spread through 2 years i.e. every 3/4 months.
Congrats!!abhishek7749 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 30, 2020 1:36 pmThanks a lot. It was really helpful to get the advice, yes looking at the link, it looks like the ILR has been granted.
