As referee both directors are friends and directors of same company with different address. Hope that won’t come in “Relate” category?

Related means married realtive or blood relative. You are overthinking this.

Both should declare that:
• they are not a relative, solicitor or agent of the applicant
• they are not employed by the Home Office
• they have not been convicted of an imprisonable offence
• they have known the applicant personally for more than 3 years
• they are willing to give full details of their knowledge of the applicant
• they will advise the Home Office of any reason why the applicant should not be naturalised
They may not be the applicant’s relative but they may be each other’s relative.

Sorry I got a quick question person applying through EU+ 5years route. Does he need life in Uk certificate for naturalization application.

All applicants applying for British citizenship need to prove B1 English (from a UKVi approved test and test centre) and LIUK test, regardless of immigration route.

Only those under 18 and over 65 years of age are exempt and those with severe medical impairments.
