Hello,

How many months bank statement did you submit with you application. More than 3 months, or just 3 months. What do the people at Gerry say is the requirement for bank statement duration.

Cheers

Some clarifications regarding EC

Post by loodk » Sun Oct 12, 2008 7:42 am

Hi All,
After a long wait of 4 months i received my HSMP approval letter but to my bad luck i never maintained a GBP 2800 in my account for the last 3 months, i come to know this requirement just now. I am......as i cant do anything but to wait for further three months ......
I've been to UK two times last year, oficially and each time i filled up complete visa application on arriving at Gerry office of Lahore. That is why i never looked at EC documents this time and skipped the importance of GBP 2800. To avoid surprises in future i checked the Vaf9 document and requires the following info:
1. How many points for Attributes/English/Maintenance
Should i mention the same points when applied for HSMP? or as of now. Because of passing my birthday my age score will now decrease.

2. I am not applying for my wife, do i still require marriage certificate for EC application?

3. I never verified my engineering degree from NARIC, now i have the HSMP letter, still i need to verify my degree or not? To my surprise at ukba site my four years engg degree is not giving 10 points.

Post by manail » Wed Oct 15, 2008 9:24 pm

hi all, what's the procedure for applying for Tier 1 General in karachi? does one need to go direct to gerry's office? appointment beforehand necessary?

also, does one have to have a lawyer, or can we just submit on our own?

thanks.

Hi all,

I have just applied on 20th of November under Tier-1 Visa. I submitted my application in Lahore Visa Application Center. Is there anyone who has applied in October/November and by the way what's the current timeline in Pakistan?

Regards,

Ahmad Jalil Qarshi

I have applied EC under transitional arrangement TIER 1 General on 19 Nov 2008. Visa officer told me that BHC Islamabad is taking 15 to 20 working days.

Hi shah175!

From where you applied? Lahore visa application center or Islamabad? What's the best possible way to get the updates regarding for which date they are processing the application?

My status on www.ukvacpk.com is still same. i.e. your application has been forwarded to British High Commission Islamabad on 20th Nov. 2008. What do you say about it.

Hi,

I am in UK under old HSMP rules since August 2005. My passport is endorsed with 'RESIDENCE PERMIT' till August 2010. Never been on TIER 1 general or points baased system. Now to apply for my wife's dependent visa.

Do I have to show maintenance funds?

I tried to get information from local visa application center and they said no need to show funds but still asking her to fill VAF 10 which is for PBS Tier 1.

If she fills this form there is specific question about maintenance funds. Can you please suggest how to answer this question?

I desperately need help as worry of being rejected due to no maintenance funds evidences is stopping us to make application. Has anyone here been in similar situation? Any help will be appreciated.
