Hi All,

My current employement contract is ending middle of October and I have submitted my ILR application on 16/Sep. My previous Tier-2 visa expired on 14/Jun and I have submitted Tier-2 extension for 4.5 months in May but this application is still pending.

So, the question is can I work while waiting for my ILR?

If I extend my current contract at same institute do I need new Tier-2?

If I start new work at different company/institude do I need new Tier-2 visa?

You cannot work for another company. While you have an application pending, your last visa conditions continue, which means you can only work for your tier 2 sponsor. If you lose your job, you can't work for anyone else until you have been granted ilr.

Hi All,

Today my wife took the Life in the UK (LITUK) test but did not pass. We have rebooked on 22/Oct since there is no earlier free slot. Therefore, is it possible to submit ILR Set(LR) application without passing LITUK test? In the application there is a question "Have you passed the Life in the UK test?" and you can answer Yes/No. What would happen if your answer is No?

Thanks in advance.

Hi All,

This morning I received an email from UKVI and I really need help. In that email, it said:

"You will need to withdraw the ILR application as there is yet to be a decision made on the LTR applications. You cannot apply for ILR until a decision has been made on the LTR applications."

It does not make sense to me. To make clear here is my history:

1. Submitted Tier-2 visa application: Main+2 dependents on 11/May/2020.
2. Our current Tier-2 visa expired on 14/June/2020.
2. Main applicant came to the UK on 30/Sep/2010 and both dependents on 10/Nov/2010.
3. Invitation to use IDV app for Tier-2 visa application received 04/Sep/2020 and soon after we uploaded documents and enrolled Biometrics via the IDV app.
4. Main applicant submitted ILR Set(LR) application on 16/Sep/2020.
5. Invitation to use IDV app for ILR Set(LR) application received 16/Sep/2020 and soon after enrolled.

Do you see any problem? Why I should withdraw from my ILR application?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your reply. Now, I see how to proceed.
You can also study about it from the official guidance:

https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... .0-ext.pdf
Thanks for your reply.

The link seems broken, do know from where I can get the guidance?

Once you start a new application, the online form asks if you have a pending application. You will declare it there anyways. Adding a cover letter is also a good practice.
Hi CULLINAN, Hi All,

Today I have received an email from HO:

You applied for Tier 2 General on 11 May 2020.

Home Office records indicate that you have made a subsequent application for indefinite leave to remain under reference ************* on the 13th October 2020. For this reason the Home Office cannot grant your leave to remain application 1212-0001-0713-2301.

Does it mean my applications did not varied to ILR? Anybody have any idea/advise how to preceed?

Thanks in advance.

Firstly do not mention your UAN on the public forum. Which UAN is this? Extension or ILR?

So it means your extension application is varied and ILR will be considered then? As extension can not be granted because you varied?

You can request the moderators to hide it.
