In another forum I'm on, someone posted today saying they had their in-person biometrics appointment today and afterwards received a text message that said,
"Your information has now been submitted to UKVI. Please contact UKVI direct on 0300 123 2241 if you have any queries. Thank you for using the UKVCAS service."
Lots of people said they also got the text message, including people who had not specifically paid for the SMS service.
I never got that message and so it's fuelling my worry more.
Did people on here get that text message? If so, did you pay for the SMS service or not?
No confirmation is sent. I have known people who paid for the service but still did not receive the text. Text service is a waste. I would urge you not to fuel your worries with baseless reports.

5.1. I did not receive a confirmationemailshowingmyapplicationhadbeen submitted.
When will I receive one?
Currently, we do not send out confirmation emails following appointments. All communication about your visa application will come from UKVI.

No one knows what is going to happen but this is such a pathetic system HO have for visa process. No feedbacks, no updates absolutely dead. They make almost ~800% profits on each ILR application, which means each application only costs them under £200. I am not going to have my hopes high as it has just been ~3months since I submit my application. I am just going to wait for the decision.

It is an absolute joke mate. Paying £2408.20 for a simple application which they are just able to process in few hours with the priority service and you have to wait up to 6 months and also receive anxiously an email saying it might take longer due to Covid19. I agree, this is ridiculous!

My visa is valid till next year & I am not really bothered about the decision. But for the applicants applied in May, June, July... this wait would probably make them crazy. Such an incompetent government & system.

The way it is going, I think October & early November would be slow months for all decisions.

I contacted UKVI after more than a month had passed since my IDV app submission for my FLRM application in August
Their response was:
Documents and biometrics have been uploaded successfully.
Your application is still in process. Due to Covid 19 we are facing delays in the decision making process, therefore we cannot give you an exact date or time. If any further documents or information is required then a caseworker should get in contact with you.
Now wondering should I book an in-person appointment or is there no point as the biometrics have been received, but may still be in the queue?

I don't think the in person appointments are accelerating things, not anymore. It is entirely up to you to go for one, there is definitely no harm of doing this especially if you can get one for free.

Hi Guys,
Anyone with an active UKVCAS log in, can you please let me know the earliest available appointment around London, please? My solicitor can't find anything till November end and I am wary of Lockdown 2. Thanks in advance.

18th July SET LR applicant here. Waiting anxiously (feels a bit like "being ghosted"). Checking email every minute, but I am about to take the email app off my phone as this is getting a bit too much. Hope moderators won’t mind this comment, as I just wanted to let it out.

Can I please ask for anyone have got approvals - if there is a separate email from HO informing you tracking number for BRP delivery or it was just delivered by TNT without tracking? Or it depends on categories? Thanks

Hello everyone
Just asking for my name on BRP is cut off one letter (last on )
When I tried report it I found HO wrote on website this :
If your name is long it may appear ‘cut off’ on your BRP. This is not a mistake - it is because there is limited space on the BRP card. However, if there’s a spelling mistake, you must report it.
My question will I face any problem in future before I apply for citizenship.
And if I would like to take Life in UK test do I need to put my full name or same on BRP
Also like there if I applied for travel documents and name on travel documents printed in full and in same time need BRP while I am traveling i.

1. Not the correct topic to ask this question in. Topic is only for biomteric appointment queries.
2. Non-issue, it is normal if your name is too long. Use your passport for liuk proof of identity with the full name.

Get user id and password from your solicitor and try searching late night and early mornings. You will find it. There is nothing confidential in their user id. You can access only your application by entering UAN no. Solicitors have lot of applications and they won't be able to spend time you can spend as its in your interest to get appointment at the earliest.

Thanks. Will do that. She says rescheduling is difficult once we book it and we have to pay the fees afresh.

If the appointment is paid, you can only cancel or reschedule up to 48 hours before appointment. The fee is refunded minus £10 admin fee. If cancelled otherwise, no fee is refunded. I am sure solicitors will not take the hassle to reschedule, pay again and wait for refund etc.

Tracking is sent by TNT (if I am correct). You can call TNT after approval (2/3 days after) and check with them about estimated delivery.

There have been cases mentioned in the timelines forum where BRP got delivered without any tracking email. Also for some it was just dropped in the post box or was just put through the door post.

The decisions have really slowed down this week, I'm so anxious I can't focus. Can some of the people working on Set(O) applications be seconded to the LR team??
I just wish I had applied over a year ago when I hit the 10 year mark but clearly didn't anticipate COVID

My tracking email came from UKVI days after my approval email ..I called TNT prior but no consignment was found on my postcode. After I got tracking email however, I tracked on courier website and saw exact date BRP would be delivered.

They have indeed. Or most of the people who have gotten decisions this week are not on this forum. Either way, if my stats spreadsheet is anything to go by, both yourself and @Maazkay09 should expect to hear soon.
All my posts are my personal opinion based on my reading of the immigration rules and guidance. NOT to be taken as professional/legal advice.
