Implication on new propose skillsets

Can someone highlight what will be implication for IT professional under the new skill set rule where IT prof is no longer a required skill-set in UK?

1) Those who are already in UK
2) For new IT prof who wants to come in UK

I fear you are confusing Tier 1 with the proposed Tier 2.

May be I am confused. First time when I came in UK I got a Job offer in IT from a UK based organisation and they applied for the WP and I came here. If someone is having that type of situation and job is related to IT will he get the WP?

When Tier 2 is properly up and running, later this year, no, it will not be possible to get Tier 2 approval for an IT job. Tier 2 replaces WPs.

Looking at Tier 2 requirments looks like you have to score 70 points, If you have job offer from a shortage skill list you will get 50 point otherwise you will be given 30 points.

As IT does not seems to be part of shortage skill list my understanding is that you will still be able to obtain the WP if you can obtain 70 points
