SET(LR) Queries

Post by punitsurana » Tue May 12, 2020 2:36 pm

Hi,

Requesting for help on below queries related to my SET(LR) application

1) I have NARIC and LIUK certificates from 2015. I have checked with these agencies and there is no expiration date to the certificates. Can I still use these for my SET(LR) application in May 2020?

2) Do I need to provide 10 years Bank Statements as Address Proof? I am getting mixed reviews so wanted to double check.

3) Any advise on what to fill in the Social Ties section of the application? It asks for a reason even if there are no social ties in country of birth.

Thanks in advance

1. Yes, should be fine.

2. No. Address proof is NOT required for SET(LR).

3. No one can tell you what to write. It is based on your personal circumstances etc. There is no right or wrong answer.

Many thanks CR001 for your prompt response.
If address proof is not required, I assume there is no need for any P60's to be submitted as well.
That makes it very straightforward application with basic documents like Passport, Visa, LIUK, NARIC.
Would you agree?

None of this is required.

You only have to submit what is required, which is minimal documents.

Given that the UKVCAS is closed as of now, is it advisable to submit my application as it offers only Standard Service. Can I submit and then go for Priority Service once UKVCAS opens?

You cannot upgrade to priority service after you have any mitted and paid for standard service. There is no option to upgrade anymore.

Thanks CR001. Would rather wait for Priority service to resume rather than waiting 6 months

One other query please.
I took a tour in 2012. Given that the travel was via bus-ferry, there is no outgoing stamp from UK. There is an incoming stamp though.
I have the Tour iternary which I can attach that has the start date.
Can you please advise if this is ok?

You don't need to attach travel itineraries.

Simply complete the absences in the form and submit your passports.

Hello,

I was waiting for the Priority/Super Priority services to resume to take an appointment for my SET(LR) application. Now the guidance on the last page of the application has changed and it shows as below.

Does this mean GOV.UK is now offering the Priority services as well? Sorry this was not clear from the message.
Please let me know your expert views.

Thanks

If you have not made an appointment
You cannot currently book an appointment at a UKVCAS service point because of coronavirus.

You must still create a UKVCAS account when you apply. This is so you can be contacted when new appointments become available.

No it does NOT mean that. Priority and super priority is still suspended and will likely remain suspended until the backlog across all immigration categories has been cleared

Thanks. I also called the helpline this morning and they do not have any view on when these services will resume. Guess will have to keep checking.

Hi,

Requesting for your kind assistance.
I submitted my SET(LR) application today and have been redirected to UKVCAS to upload documents.
Under the Mandatory Documents section, I do not see any sub-categories. Is this correct?

Under the Optional Documents section, there are sub-categories as below
Note: If a document has a status of ‘submitted’ then it cannot be removed.
Document Type
Status
Other
Residence in the UK
Finances
Proof of Business
Life Events
Medical Information
Sponsors / Employment
Proof of Identity / Travel History
Educational
Proof of Application

My question is
1) Where do I need to upload my mandatory documents like passport, BRP?
2) Under which category from above do I upload documents for Spouse?
3) Under which category should I upload the mandatory Consent form ?

Please assist.

Thanks,
Punit

The categories are GENERIC.
1) Where do I need to upload my mandatory documents like passport, BRP?
https://www.immigrationboards.com/indef ... 96002.html
2) Under which category from above do I upload documents for Spouse?
This is NOT required for Set (LR) applications. Why are you submitting unnecessary documents?? You only need all YOUR passports, YOUR BRP card, English and LIUK. Nothing else.
3) Under which category should I upload the mandatory Consent form ?
It really doesn't make that much difference where you upload it.

Thanks CR001. So there is no need to worry if there is no sub-category under Mandatory section and I can continue uploading the documents in the other sections as applicable?

Sorry for a silly question:
I am applying SET(LR) and am currently on TIER 2 ICT(granted in 2010).
For the question regarding "do you have previous Visa or leave to remain where you had to prove English Language qualification", shall I say yes? I have a Degree conversion certificate from NARIC as well.
Please advise.

This probably to check if there is a need for you to present evidence of English test. So if you have previously held a visa where you had to show evidence of meeting English language requirement the answer will be YES.

Thanks for the reply. As I mentioned I have an Tier 2 ICT Visa and there it stated English proof is not required. I will select Yes and provided the NARIC certificate just in case.

Hi Gurus,

I got my ILR approval. Thanks for all the guidance.
My wife is still on Tier 2 ICT dependant(expiring March 2022).
She needs to travel to India.
My question is can she still do that on the Tier 2 ICT dependant BRP? She is planning to apply for ILR in Jan 2021.
Requesting for your kind advice.

Thanks,
Punit

She risks being refused entry and her current visa cancelled when she returns (yes this has happened to members). The requirement for her is to switch to FLR M as soon as possible once the main PBS migrant has obtained ILR via the long residence route. This has been the case since April 2014.
