She would nee to meet the minimum ILR salary requirement - £36,200. (i.e. she must be earning this for ILR)aspirant910 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 24, 2020 1:12 pmHer job title is Quality Analyst Software tester
SOC Code 2139
For ilr, whatever the threshold is in 2023.aspirant910 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 24, 2020 1:26 pmThanks, Is this salary threshold will be needed at the time of ILR application or when the Tier 2 was granted ?
Tier-2 Visa is being granted based on minimum salary for the ROLE which is currently £31,100.aspirant910 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 24, 2020 1:26 pmThanks, Is this salary threshold will be needed at the time of ILR application or when the Tier 2 was granted ?
Is this applicable on existing tier 2 candidates or who will apply 1 Jan 2021 onwards?littlegtplr wrote: ↑Sat Oct 24, 2020 3:20 pmTwo days ago Home Office published a paper on the new Skill Worker route (which replaces Tier 2 on 1 Jan 2020). The settlement will require the person to earn at least the general salary (probably £26,400) or the 'going rate' of the SOC code, whichever is higher (see SW 24.3).
The going rate for 2139 is £31,800 (£15.68 per hour). See Table 1.

Does this mean there is no minimum salary requirement for ILR too? I would doubt this.littlegtplr wrote: ↑Sat Oct 24, 2020 3:20 pmTwo days ago Home Office published a paper on the new Skill Worker route (which replaces Tier 2 on 1 Jan 2020). There is a minimum salary threshold for settlement. As stated in SW 24.3, at least £26,400 or the going rate of the SOC code, whichever is higher is required for a settlement application unless the position is on the shortage list. Need to keep in mind that it seems to be easier to get a visa since the salary threshold is tradable to some extent, but there is a hard salary requirement when getting settled.Rambo_ILR wrote: ↑Sun Oct 25, 2020 9:21 pmDoes this mean there is no minimum salary requirement for ILR too? Perhaps this is the new route for getting a visa which is similar to Tier 2 Visas as it would apply for both EU & Non-EU. I can't see anywhere its mentioned for settlement requirement though.
Thanks for sharing. I agree seems they have made very easy to get a visa by splitting 2 bands of salary for a role, but a good thing is even for settlement they would be considering the "going rate" for all roles.littlegtplr wrote: ↑Sun Oct 25, 2020 9:45 pmThere is a minimum salary threshold for settlement.
