FLR M Application date - 31 months

Post by iamthankful » Wed Oct 28, 2020 11:04 am

I recently got my FLR M, even though the duration on the approval said 30 months, the brp card was 30 months and 28 days. When do I have to apply to renew, is it 28 days before 30 months or 28 days before the expiry of my card which is 31 months, can someone please clarify.

Thanks

If you had applied and took advantage of the 28days before 30months, then it could be that the CW has added the 28days on top for you.
Why would you want to renew FLR M, it should progress to ILR via SET M. This can be applied 28days before reaching 60months of your entry into UK on the spouse route.

Thanks for the reply but this is my first FLR M, so I will need another renewal before ILR.

To avoid the shortfall you can apply after 30 months minus 28 days until the last day of expiry date.

Got you now. You are eligible from 28day before 30months till the expiry date of your BRP.
