Biometric appointment

Post by mavaas11 » Mon Aug 03, 2020 5:32 pm

Hi,

I submitted my online app, on wed 29 july 2020 on gov.uk

Now on VFS, I uploaded my docs, which I can preview but, when I go to the biometric appointment page, it says there are no appointments due to covid-19. btw my wifes applying from Pakistan.

So theres no option for receipt print, nor any appointments.

Any idea anyone??

Keep monitoring the website till appointments are available.
You can use print screen option for your payment transaction.

Biometric appointment

Post by mavaas11 » Mon Aug 03, 2020 6:13 pm

Hi,

Thanks AmazonianX i meant the upload document receipt.

But yes with the appointments, I think as it says on VFS login page, VACs will deal with existing application first and then new applications. One person on the covid immigration helpline told me the same thing, that they will email people.

But I just want to confirm, has anyone recently made a biometric booking from Pakistan?

I just cant find any appointments, maybe it is based on when you submit your application, now?

Post by mavaas11 » Fri Aug 07, 2020 10:18 pm

So my spouse has her biometrics on 2/9/20 in Islamabad, Pakistan

I've uploaded supporting documentation online.

What documents does she need to take with her, to the appointment?

Thanks guys!!

Her international passport, print outs of evidence of payment and the appointment mail generated after payment. Also, if she has all the documents uploaded with her, can go with them so that should it be noticed during appointment there is any unclear document or the other this can be scanned and or uploaded at the VAC though this may incur charges.

Strictly follow the instruction received prior to biometrics and upon submission of application.

Its a boilerplate text on second/third page. Your decision is on first page which would definitely be saying it correctly.

Thanks AmazonianX, I realised that I have been awarded "Partner - Standard", whereas those points on page 2 are for "Non- Standard 1" and "Non - Standard 2". So if I was given the non- standard visa, I would have been on the 10-year route. Therefore, I'm correctly on the 5- year route.

Thanks as always, much appreciate your response !!

Hi

Apologies, my spouse never sent me the other page before, which I requested to check again.
Yes standard, means 5 year route, non-standard meaning 10-year route. the standard part is the duration of the route.
