Who is applying? You or partner? Is it Section 6(1) or 6(2)?

Hi Cullinan,

my wife is applying and I hold a British passport.
I have no idea what section 6:1 or 6:2 is.

she is applying on a 5 years spouse route. she received her ILR card about a week ago and I read on here we can apply for Citizenship because I hold a British passport.

regards

Make sure you understand the residence requirements for her?
She must not be outside UK for more than 270 days in the last 3 years and not more than 90 days in the last 1 year. Also, she must be physically in UK at the start of the 3 year qualifying period. For example if she applies on 6/11/2020, she must be in UK on 7/11/2017.

No. Make sure you list her absences from UK ONLY during the 3 year qualifying period in the online form when asked.

Yes. You also have to meet the good character requirement.

Hi Cullinan,

I have now completed the appreciated and paid. book biometric appoint for the 03/Dec/20(Free) as I didn't want to give UKVCAS £135 :D :D :D

I am going to upload the supporting docs later today.

one question please.

2 X refs(apparently the applicant passport photographs need full names and D.O.B on the back of the photo then glued to the ref form)
my question is how would the HO see the back of the passport photo if glued and scanned and uploaded??
or does the Biometric guys do it then self?

The referee forms are not updated after the system went online. However, still follow the guidance and do as asked. Keep safe original referee forms. HO may ask for originals (very rare though) at a later stage.

No one will check referee forms at UKVCAS appointment.

Note: Since your appointment is on 3rd Dec, you can upload all documents and benefit from the SELF-submission. Your documents will be sent to UKVI even before biometrics and you may save some time. But it is optional. You can upload just before the appointment also and submit at the appointment itself.
