Ukvcas update says applicants applied after 5 September can book appointment from 21 September. And idv isn't applicable.
And now i got the email last night from ukvcas saying "invitation to use idv app ".
I am all confused now. Should I just ignore the email and wait until 21 September and book the appointment ?
Have you tried logging in to the app to see if it allows you in?
Yes it did, but i booked appointment anyway. Thank you

Scan and upload all pages with visas and entry/exit stamps.
All or any passport with travel history to also be supplied.

Thank you.
I just attended my biometric appointment. And the lady scanned my current passport for verification. She scanned photo page and all entry/ exit, and she also scanned the last page where all the descriptions regarding passport there such as the person is the citizen of..., and so on. But that's not how i scanned. I didn't scan that last pages with the descriptions. Does that mean my scan isn't complete and ukvi may ask to reupload at some point?
Thank you.

They may or not. If really required it will be asked for. You are covered even with the one taken at the appointment.
Thank you.

I just saw this on government website,
If you’re applying to extend or switch in the UK-
You’ll need to pay £19.20 to have your biometric information (fingerprints and a photo) taken.
But i didn't pay this. How come?

What was the total visa fee you paid?? The biometric fee is usually included in that, ie £1033 plus £19.20.

Hi all,
I saw few mention about returning BRP or facinf £1000 penalty. I Googled about it and found,
"You must send your biometric residence permit (BRP) back to the Home Office within 5 working days of getting your certificate of British citizenship."
What about people like me who is still waiting for decision and BRP is expired. Do i require to return it too? If yes,at what point i need to return it , as soon as possible or after the arrival of the new BRP. Thank you.

You have NOT applied for British citizenship!!!
Nothing to send back until you have your new BRP card.

Hi all,
So when ukvi grants new visa, 30 months is from last visa expiry date or decision date?
Thank you.

Hi,
Applied om 10 September
In person biometric on 26 September
Haven't heard a word from ukvi yet. When i applied it said 8 weeks from the date of application. And its been 11 weeks. And over 8 weeks from biometric date.
Also, i haven't seen much flr m or flr fp reported on the forum. Flr fp timeline is dead silent.
I understand covid and stuff, but if they are gonna take longer than standard service time , at least a delay email should be sent out!
Do i really have to wait 6 months before I can call them?
Or its just for ilr applicants because their standard service time is 6 months.
Thanks

The wait is the most difficult aspect of the application for anyone who has had to be subject to immigration control and applications. If you think there are options available to you in checking the status of your application, there is no harm in trying.

Hi,
Applied for extension under parent 5 years route. It looks may take another few months for decision.
Can i change my job while application is pending?
Do i need to let ukvi know if i find a new job and start working there?
Many thanks.

I already have involved my MP to expedite my extension (3rd), applied on 25 September Bio 6 OCTOBER. I have phoned UKVI once and been told to wait for 6 months. Now thinking to email them as well to expedite but can't find proper email address of FLR FP team. But whatever I do feel like I am talking to the wall.
