Hi all ,
I have applied to ILR 10 years route on 13/10. But today I received the following email.
Dear Customer,
Thank you for your application for permission to stay in the UK.
We apologise for the inconvenience, however, due to the worldwide response to COVID-19, UKVI services are currently limited and we are not able to meet our usual service standards.
Although we would normally decide your application within eight weeks from the date it was submitted, unfortunately this is may not be possible in your case.
As global travel and public health restrictions begin to lift following coronavirus, Visa Application Centres (VACs) and UK Visa and Citizenship Application Centres (UKVCAS) are resuming services where local restrictions allow, it is safe, and both customers and staff are protected.
It came with a tittle Tier 2 application update. have anyone got the same E-mail? Apparently, ILR should not be dealt with eight weeks but the reference number is correct. Is it just ukvi system error or this can be a complicated case notice but the case worker just found a wrong template! This is so confusing.
Just ignore it. These COVID related emails are generic.
All my posts are my personal opinion based on my reading of the immigration rules and guidance. NOT to be taken as professional/legal advice.

Thanks. At this period of time, they just don't know how these misleading information can disrupt people's weak nerve.

Hi,
I've submitted my SET(M) application on 30th October and booked a biometric appointment for 18th November. I have also uploaded and submitted my documents on 31st October. So far I've got only 1 email from UKVI with my application reference ID and payment confirmation instructing me to book a biometric appointment and the appointment confirmation from UKVCAS.
Am I supposed to get a confirmation from either UKVI or UKVCAS that they have received my documents?
Thank you

Just on this topic of submitttimg documents - when the status is submitted, does this mean that documents are sent to UKVI
OR
Its only after the biometric appointment (which can be 3-4 weeks away) the documents are sent to UKVI
Thanks

Not everyone gets that. It is a generic automated email sometimes not pushed. You can provide your UAN to your employer, that is enough.

With the new self-submission feature, the documents are sent to UKVI right away even before biometrics.

@jamd12,
Your application should be in processing stage. Not sure if case worker is waiting on a response from a different department.
You should hear back soon. Hang on tight

Regarding Set O IDV-only applicants, correct me if I'm wrong, but it feels like the HO have not yet started processing September applications, barring very few exceptions. Almost all the recently reported IDV-only Set O decisions on this forum were for applications made in August or earlier.

Try 12AM midnight Tuesday onwards. If you check tonight you will get a slot for Saturday 5th Dec which is paid anyways plus less availability on Saturday and Sunday(mostly all centres are closed except a few). Check Tuesday 10th Nov 12:01 AM GMT. You should get one for Monday 7th Dec nearby or earlier (if any cancellations and you are lucky). Keep looking regularly for any cancellations before Tuesday.
Hello again,
For the UKVCAS appointment, how long does it take on the appointment day? Given that documents have been uploaded and self-submitted, all that should remain is biometrics. Asking so that I can plan my day accordingly and see if I can make journey back to little one's nursery in time.

On an average less than 30 mins.
Mine took longer due to a system issue
