You said they took your 'passport' away and you don't have a 'green card'? Are you just referring to your IRP card? I can't see why they would take your passport away.

If you are a non-visa required national, you should just be able to travel back and forth without any issue. (Of course, you may still need an IRP card depending on the airline's requirement.)
If your IRP card is still valid, you should just write to them and ask them to send it back to you temporarily.
If your IRP is already expired (but automatically extended to next January), you should apply for a re-entry visa.

qq re this as I couldn't find the answer elsewhere: how does "temporary" work, if we get an IRP back, when do we need to send it to the Naturalisation office again? Once they announce next ceremony? Can we keep it as long as there are no ceremonies?

As soon as you come back to Ireland. You will not receive an invitation if they don’t have your IRP.

Thanks! I think it's safer to ask for a Reentry visa instead.

Hello there,

Just curious as to how people are going about getting a statutory declaration pledging allegiance to the state going? Did you hear anything back after submitting the IRP/bank draft and photos?

Thanks

Hi,

Could you please create a separate thread for your topic?

This one is called "Next Ceremony" and it should contain updates on any development regarding the next citizenship ceremony.

There is plenty of ppl like me that check this page every day to see if there is any news regarding any upcoming citizenship ceremony, and it's a bit frustrating to have to scroll just to find unrelated information.

I'm sure your topic is as valid as all the others, and it deserves its own thread.

Thanks

Hi there,

You’re absolutely right.

My humble apologies!

Posted this as there isn’t one in sight due to covid and there were talks on approvals and thought this would be a natural progression.

I do however understand where you’re coming from and you’re absolutely right.

I’ll go ahead and start a topic in a bit.

Apologies once again!

The claim for the 4 weeks came from a fellow forum member, not from the Government. Officially there's no time frame for it.

I received a letter last week from citizenship department to send 2018 P60, employments details summary for 2019 and asked me to complete the attached statutory declaration, and have it witnessed and return to the office within 28 days but there was nothing attached. I have emailed them last week to let them know but haven't got any reply yet. Shall I just send the P60 and employments details summary and write a letter to them to let them know I never received any declaration form?
