Had applied (ILR (LR)) for my child in May and did IDV submission in September first week. However, there was no decision till now. As it crossed six months, we thought we should book the bio-metric appointment to be on safer side. Got one after lockdown and paid £110. However, the decision just came today. So now do not need the appointment. Does anyone know how to cancel the appointment and do you get money back? I checked UKVCAS website but could not find anything obvious.

Log in to your UKVCAS account and cancel the appointment. You should get a refund minus £10 admin fee if you cancel outside 48 hours window. Plus you should not have booked an appointment in the first place. UKVCAS has told not to book dual submissions.

Also this may help: I received a UKVI survey on 6th Nov but no decision email. I contacted HO on 10th Nov. I received my approval in POST on 14th Nov (dated 12th Nov). So if anyone of you receives a UKVI survey but no decision in email, best to contact HO. I am not sure if that triggered my approval sent via POST.
For readers: I am a BC applicant.
Congratulations Cullinan

Hey Cullinan Thanks. I found the option to cancel under 'manage services' feature.
We are a family of three and all of us applied at the same time in May. Mine and Mrs came through in September and my childs got stuck. I phoned UKVI and as usual they gave standard reply of we do not have any updates on when it will happen. It was a frustrating wait. So we had no other choice but to book the appointment as it was well over six months SLA amd they stopped taking any escalations

I have read that currently these are valid until 31 Dec 2024 due to an EU regulated security feature constraint
