HSMP-FLR

Post by nsm2010 » Mon Sep 15, 2008 2:13 pm

Hi all,

I got my HSMP approval letter (2+3) and EC in October 2007, Whereas I entered UK on 23Dec 07. I have few queries pertaining to my FLR,

1/ When should I submit my application for FLR, Two years after receipt of HSMP Letter, EC or my entry in the UK????

2/ Is it possible somehow if I can submit my FLR application and get one prior to the two year period??? It is because I am not getting any good quotation for Mortgage with only 1year left on my Visa??

3/ Is it necessary to switch my HSMP into Tier -1 prior to submitting my application for FLR???

I will appreciate if someone help me out with these queries.

Thanks in advance.

Having checked our records, your case is still under consideration. I am unable to advise how long the case will take to complete, each case is assessed on it’s own merits.

Another thing............... from now on if anyone need to apply for UT they need to sign a declaration that if a CW cant make a decision within a specified time before u need ur docs back, then u will need to withdraw ur aplication and pay the whole fee again and re- apply at a later date................. Got this info. from one of my friends who called CC Today!!

Guys my experience was different

1. HO mailed back in 3 days, saying it takes 10 weeks normally but if it is more than 10 weeks it doesn't mean there is a problem with the application
2. Got HO in phone in 30 seconds and they said a letter has been sent home for more info and it was true I got letter in 2 days.

I called on Tuesday, looks system had right status, so try on Monday and Tuesday.

Applied for Tier 1 on 14th August and Waiting

Post by recvs » Tue Sep 16, 2008 7:47 am

Hi,

I am UK workpermit holder.
Went to UK in Jun 2008 and came back to India on a business trip in August 2008. I have applied for Tier 1 (General) on 14th of august 2008 from VFS Hyderabad. It has been one month and still I am waiting for the Visa. The VFS website says 'Your application has been forwarded to british high commission". I got the same answer from VFS global when I contacted them. I have applied with 4years Form 16s and Four years tax returns. Can any one tell me what would be the maximum processing time for the tier 1 you heard about.

Also,
Would request the group about the enquiry contacts for the tier1.

Thanks

Good luck to all of you.

Cheers..!
bgmdude wrote:Hi,

There is no UTR format as such. You can fax your UTR to any of the following numbers,

0114 207 5862
0114 207 4000

There is no point in sending email, normally you will get reply back stating the fax number (as given above).

Good luck.

So you recieved ur visa in 14 weeks excatly!!

do u think its got something to do with 14 weeks deadline they had previously in place, caus now all they say is there is no time restictions when u call them.

As i have been waiting the forum frompast 3 months , it seems like if you get ur docs back, to the latest in 14 weeks its cool otherwise it can take upto anytime.

I am waiting in the same timeline as justice122 and grant1. I applied on 16th/17th June (through solicitor). I am officially in the 14th week of waiting. (3 months and 2 weeks since july-august had 2 extra week). Think Im right. I do hope so we received something this week. I am losing it big time by the day.

I did phone HO today: Mine is under consideration still... no decision made yet. I asked what is the service standard: None it can take as long as it can (WOW!!!). It is with the case worker and no decision made yet was the answer. Asked if the information they requested which we replied have been received: Yes. I am hopeful and keeping my patiencebut not sure for how long :(.

Meantime, I try to get hold of my solicitor this afternoon and see what is their story! Perhaps I know more than them today.

Congrats to those receiving their passports. Good luck to us all waiting. Let hope after all the pain, there is sweet at the end.

I am quite sure that u know much more than wht ur solicitor knows about ur case. i have applied in the same week as you and they didnt even asked me for any extra information soo far and i am still waiting. i called them few days ago and got exactly the same answer as u, my friend.dnt know why the batch who applied in the 2nd week of june had to suffer the most & is still waiting. Hope to get docs back this weekend. is your case complicated.

could u plz tell me, what extra information did they ask you for and when did u sent it to them, this will help understand the timelines.

Regards

:)

If they didn't ask you for any additional information so far, in my understanding it's mean that everything is OK. It's just taking bit longer...
I hope every one who in week 14n will get their docs by end of this week...

Hope to get docs back this weekend. is your case complicated.

could u plz tell me, what extra information did they ask you for and when did u sent it to them, this will help understand the timelines.

My Case is complicated - I do not know...

Post by binzub » Wed Sep 17, 2008 2:36 pm

Well, they wrote to my solicitor on 19th august asking to confirm if i claim any public funds. Which I dont and never did. Wrote it and sent it by letter (by me) and fax (by solicitor) to HO on 22nd august (day the solicitor received the letter). I am still questioning myself as to why they requested such an information. Why did they not ask for anything else about the application? Is there something wrong?

My case is complicated in a way. I am too old apparently now being 22. Wont bore anyone with it. Any suggestion welcomed about why public funds....

Moreover, Do note when application was sent using the old form in June, the section about public funds is one line question (i think). But in August, a whole section dedicated to these. Am i correct?

Well regarding the public funds thing, i and sooo many other people who applied in june or before august 8th werent asked to do this. never heard anyone saying they have been asked to write a letter of this kind. I have no idea why did they ask you, i mean if u never claimed anything then you will be alright i guess. dnt worry.

Its been a month thaugh since u sent in the info., they shuld have contacted u by now, never mind wait till next week anyways when 14 weeks are up.

well cant do much mate in our aituation, just gotta wait i guess.
