In country tier 2 child dependent documents query

Post by Tash87 » Sat Nov 14, 2020 11:21 pm

So I’ve applied for tier 2 dependent visa for my partner and child
I didn’t submit any proof that my child is currently living with us on our current address. I’m not sure if it’s required or not. However I did show proof of cohabitation with my partner. Is that enough or should I be worried?

that's fine, the caseWorker will contact you if any additional document required.
the same situation happened to me. i submitted 2 application for my dependent: 1. my wife and 1 children 2. the other 2 children.
for the 1st application, only council tax required. no additional document required. (status: visa already approved)
and for 2nd application. They're asking additional document by mail, i.e : cohabitation docs (bank statements, utility bills, council tax bills), consent letter from the mother if the visa can be granted with me & Parental responsibility letter. this additional documents is required because it's submitted on different application with the mother.
anyway, good luck with your application

For my child (1 year old), I have only uploaded his birth certificate, his BRP, and his passport. His dependant visa was approved with no further requested documents.

Thank you! Can you please let me know the timeline of your applications when you submitted and got the decision?
And for the other when you submitted and got asked for additional documents.
I applied First and my decision took 5 working days, but it’s been more than 3 weeks for the dependants application and have heard nothing.

For leave to enter, I was only asked for passport and birth certificate for my kids. For leave to remain, just the passport and the BRP. Did you apply for health care visa? It is usually quick for migrants on this route, service level at 3 weeks. My spouse is NHS sponsored and got his visa approval earlier this year within just 2 days of biometric appointment. For rest of T2, it’s usually 6-8 weeks pre-covid. Mine was submitted during 1st lockdown and I’ve just recently got the approval and now on 3rd week of waiting for BRP card delivery.

Mine was Tier 2 General, looking at in country timeline on this forum Quite a lot of T2 General visas were processed in less than a week but I don’t know if there’s a backlog or they usually do take this longer for dependants.

Thank you, does F2F mean face to face appointment? Is it same as biometrics appointment or something different?

Thanks I received the decision for my dependants yesterday. Have you received any tracking information yet for BRP for the application that has been approved?
