If you are accumulating debt and unnecessarily and not paying back and have CCJ’s, this could impact your application. You should make sure you have either paid back your debt or submit evidence for partial payment arrangements.

I paid off the CCJ I had, I got 2 defaults on my credit file total £3589 which I start paying back this year, does the HO do credit checks? Will the defaults affect the application?

Are the two defaults of £3589 separate than the CCJ itself? or same?

The defaults are separate from the CCJ (CCJ is cleared last week). Do you think it’s a good idea to add the payment plans for the defaults with the application or just wait if they ask for it?

The defaults are okay. If the lender chases you and takes you to court you may end up getting another CCJ. In that case you might have a problem as that will show repeat behaviour. You must declare the CCJ and best to provide evidence that you paid it.
Regarding defaults, better to sort it out at this stage so it does not end up in a CCJ. No need to declare defaults at this stage as it is between you and the lender. But best to get it sorted soon.

I’m dealing with the defaults payment at the moment with monthly installments, I was thinking to include the payment plan confirmation letters with the application to prove im making payments (if they do credit checks they can see the defaults right?) or shall I just leave it out?

In regards to the Tax credit over payment it shouldn’t be a problem right? ( I’m making monthly payments for that too) through DWP debt management.

You seem to have a repeat history of collecting debt. HO makes a number of checks. I can not comment what checks they will make or not. The principal is - apply when your tax and debt matters are up to date and resolved.

I don’t have any CCJ outstanding and I’m on payment plan for the tax credit over payment(I asked the DWP they said it shouldn’t be a problem). And I’m on payment plan for the defaults.

What I’m asking is do I include the payment plan confirmation letters for the defaults with application even if the HO didn’t ask for it?

Sorry one last question,

As I don’t have access to some of my old payslips from 2 jobs within last 2 years is the HMRC five years of work history sufficient? and is P45 ok?

You don't have to submit documents for your work history - you just need to list it for the 10 years.

But on the application form it says payslips,p60,letter from employer start and end date. I got a letter from
HMRC for 5 years work history and p45 for one employer which is over 5 years ago would the HO accept those?

Are you EEA or non-EEA family member?
If so your P60s or HMRC list for the five years residency period are sufficient - they are to prove residency, not employment.

Are you filling in the paper form?
You should apply online.
As I understand it, if you have UK ILR, all that is required for residency is your passport(s) covering the residency period - the online system will list out the required documents. Only EEA citizens provide P60s or letters from employers.

I think OP has not selected the right options in the online form and the checklist is generating these documents due to being a non-EEA family member of an EEA national?
