Change of employer tier 2 --does dependent need to apply again?

Post by poshlink » Thu Nov 19, 2020 4:46 pm

hi,
I have two questions regarding in country tier visa, please kindly help, thanks.

1.

I am changing employer and have just got the new COS .

Do all of my dependents need to submit new visa application with me at the same time? or only me need to submit provided their current BRP have not expired yet (till 2022)

2.

I have hold tier 2 visa for 4. 5 years already, can I apply new visa for just one year ? (plan to apply settlement in May 2021)

so I only need to pay the IHS for one year.

but the work date on my COS is 3 years. Is there any conflict or inconsistency?

Many thanks.

1. No. uk-tier-2-employer-sponsored-visas/when ... 98586.html

2. Depends on the length of the CoS your sponsor assigns. You cannot apply for a lesser period than stated on the cos, up to a maximum of 6 years for all tier 2 time.

Thanks for reply.

The COS is three years.

Can I revise to one year by submitting a note in the SMS system?

so that I only need to apply one year visa?

THANKS

My understanding is that the cos needs to be withdrawn and re-assigned.
