Spouse visa pay

Post by Dani122 » Wed Nov 18, 2020 8:33 pm

Hi I’m a bit confused about my pay/employer letter. So I get paid monthly around £2,000 but after tax it is only £1,300. So when I apply it’ll say I’m making more than what’s actually going into my account...also my employer has written a letter saying my ‘pay amount’ for each month and it is £2,000 when only my after tax amount is going into my bank.
So it doesn’t match my bank statements, is this okay?

For immigration purposes, your gross income before tax deduction will be considered which in your illustrated case will be £2000. Moreover, only your net income instead the gross income need to mirror with the credit entries of bank statements. Furthermore, an extra piece of information, that usually an income around £1550 pcm fulfill the criteria which in your case of being transcending it.

Post by Dani122 » Fri Nov 20, 2020 6:28 pm

Hi I did my online application today. I can’t find where to book my appointment or do I have to scan my documents first?

You can book an appointment in two ways:

online by either clicking the link to book an appointment from your UKVI account or by clicking the link in the UKVCAS account setup email you have been sent
by phone by calling the UKVCAS Premium Support Line on 0844 8920232 (Calls cost £0.04 per minute) plus your provider’s access charge.

Hi I paid my IHS fee today for spouse visa. I applied from the UK and it cost £1,900. Does this figure sound correct as I thought it’s quite high ?
Correct is £624×2.5=

Maybe you were levied higher currency exchange rate and other bank charges etc.

Following that calculation would be around £1500. Is it normal for the rate to mean that I paid £400 more? The solicitor did my application for me

To me an extra amount of £400 looking very gruesome which shouldn't be so high. But better to speak to your solicitor and ask the reason/proof??

For an initial spouse visa, which is for 33 months, the IHS is more, around £1872 per applicant. It is £624 per year or part of a year.

👍

Just have checked it on the following IHS calculator which giving the same amount £1872. That means £1900-1872= £28 is a bargain :D

It wouldn't be considered because of being dated after the date of application.

You could have simply downloaded the bank statements by using online banking or by visiting the local branch on or before 20th.

Is 15th November the date the pay hit the bank account?

Aside above referring to what written in guidance, there are a lot of members who did got success even with the documents slightly dated after the date of application.

However the guidance says exactly that:

However, the guidance said exactly as follows:
Evidence requirements – general information
Where Appendix FM-SE requires the applicant to provide specified evidence relating
to a period which ends with the date of application, that evidence must be dated no
earlier than 28 days before the date of application
.
