UK T2 General Visa Getting Expired

Hi,

I am on UK T2 General Visa from an employer who has closed his operations and file closure of his company on 30th Sep(as per the employer). I was expecting a correspondence from home office informing about the closure and my visa giving me 60 days time to switch over to any other visa or leave UK (as I've been told).
I didn't receive any such letter and now realized I only have 7 days left (if I count 60 days from 30th Sep).
Can someone please help to understand what I should I do now? Will I become illegal to stay in UK after 30th Nov? What is the way around here?

The 60 days starts counting from when you get the letter form ukvi, not from when you left your job.

Curtailment letters can take a few months to get sent out

I'm not counting 60 days from the day I left the company but the date when my employer has filed for closure.
Somebody said that it might be possible due to covid letter may have got stuck somewhere and didn't reach me.

Though I'm in process of getting sponsorship from another company but that process is going to take some time (a month or so)

60 days starts form when a letter is received. If your visa is expiring soon, you won't get a letter.

When exactly does your current visa expire?

My visa (BRP) has last date of Nov 2022 next year.

Then you have until Nov 2021 to receive either a curtailment letter or a new CoS from another employer, whatever happens first.

The dates when you left your job or the company has filled for closure are irrelevant.

Don't worry about that. I was in a similar situation last year and never received a curtailment letter in almost 6 months.

Try to not change your address while you are in this situation to avoid any mess... otherwise you should be fine.

Focus on applying for jobs.

Yes I'm almost in the final leg of process of landing into a new job and soon sponsorship process will also start.
