I applied from VFS hyderabad on 18th Aug and reports have reached BHC.
So i think by this week we should get some results.

Just called up BHC Chennai and asked about my status. I was told to wait for 2 more weeks and be patient. This is the same reply which I got when I asked them around a week and half ago.

Applied for EC on Aug 12th from Bangalore. Integra employer verification started on Aug 19th. Got Tier 1 visa on 11 September.

Applied on 25th Aug from bangalore VFS office. Integra verification started within 2-3 days they called up office & confirmed the salary.
Got stamped Visa on 25th Sep.

But heard market condition is really bad. Any one else here have any idea about job condition over ther? or any threads for job & market condition currently in UK? would be really helpful.

Hi guys,
I have applied Tier 1(General) on July,18, VFS Hyderabad.
I have not received any decision till date. The application status is same as it was on the first day of my application. I have called the BHC and also put a mail, they just say one more week

. I have never heard such a long
processing time for Tier 1. Any insight as how to handle my case??
I may require my passport in october 1st week, for an appointment with
US consultate.

Type : Fresh Tier 1 General
Application date : 12 Aug, 2008
Applied at : VFS Delhi
Integra: 19 Aug, 2008
Status : waiting ..

Applied on 7th Aug 2008 frm vfs hyderabad
Still waiting for the result, vfs site shows appln forwarded to BHC

Did any got there results who have applied on or after 7th Aug 2008 ?

Don't worry about the job market condition...it will get better by the next quarter..

Hi,
Applied for EC under HSMP Transitional arrangements on 20th Aug 2008 at VFS Chennai. It has reached more than 6 weeks but no decision has made.
Still my application status says as "Application has been forwarded to the British High commission"
Just called Customer Care, and they have given me the email id chennai.visaenquiry@fco.gov.uk to know exact reason for delaying.
Just sent email them and asked for still they need any additional documents to proceed further.
Is this mush delay is normal? Anyone who has applied within this date range and got thier decision?

Nope ramesh1, no one really has any clue...BHC is taking its own sweet time..
In some case, they are approving the case within 1 month, in some, they are approving it after 2 or 3 months..

I had applied on 12 August and the status is still the same - waiting..

Hi All
my Application date is 21-Aug-2008, VFS Bangalore.
Status: Same thing.."Your Application has been forw.............."
When contacted BHC,(mailing almost twice a week to chennai.visaenquiry@fco.gov.uk
But the same Reply almost "We cant give you an approximate/exact time frame required to make a decision"
Anything can be done from our side?

Nope Man. Status changed only on VFS website on 06/10/2008 in the night.I had got my visa confirmation from the BHC that morning only.

Any one applied from Hyderabad(India) in last week of august or first week of september??? Pls post if you have any updates...

I called BHC, Chennai today and got to know that still my application is in queue. I applied on 1-Sept-08.

Request everyone to mention place from where they applied while posting timelines. It is very confusing/misleading without place applied from.
