My wife doesn't work but I do. Should I be getting employment letter from my employer or not? I am on student Visa.

Bank statements are needed to correoborate the earnings which should match to the payslips. So these should be from whoever is working.

Whoever's earning is being relied on need to attach the employer letter which is you in your case.

Hello again,

I have a question regarding employment letter.

I am working on this job on Student visa since july 2019.

Initial 10.5 months as Placement student (full time as part of my degree). After that I started working part time there during term time and after term time i worked full time.

On Placement I was earning around 25k annual.
From April 2020 I got paid hourly and even when I work 20 hours I still earn aound 30k before tax. I am a Data Scientist.

My company is happier to keep me for long but they can't sponsor because of some strict rules.

Now on my Employment letter they mentioned my Salary as Hourly Rate and contract type temporary. Though it's mentioned i am working since july-2019.

Would contract type being "Temporary" will be an issue?
Putting hourly Rate is fine?
They mentioned 20 hours during term time, otherwise 40 hours.

Please guide....

Income derived under any type of pattern or contract either full or part time is counted provided the terms of existing visa allow it.

Thank you so much. I really appreciate all the answers and immediate help.

Initially I decided to go with Lawyer but after joining this forum and searching online I decided to file my case myself and not get scammed by some lawyers who were trying to trap me.

Thank you so much... I will need help while writing Cover Letter too.

Remember that there is no fixed template of covering letter because of its being optional. However, usually I recommend to prepare it to spotlight your financial calculations and any other area which you couldn't address on application form.

Thank you so much. I would definitely include it.

For accommodation, I have Tenancy agreement. Would thay be fine or I need some kind of a letter from the agency?

And can you please give a rough estimate of fees for spuse visa?

I believe it's around £1100 for VISA fee, £600ish Helath surcharge and around £100 on other stuff.

Is it correct or there gonna be some other fees too?
About health surcharge I am confused.

£1033 for the visa fee.
£600ish Helath surcharge and around
IHS is £624 per year and you pay upfront for 2.5 year visa. Total IHS is £1560 for a 2.5 year visa, payable when you apply.
£100 on other stuff.
What other stuff?? The only other charge would be ukcvas for biomteric appointment if there are no free appointments.
Is it correct or there gonna be some other fees too?
Visa fee, IHS and UKCVAS fee only.
Char (CR001 not Casa)

Thank you so much. About other stuff I meant if i use scanning service during Biometrics.

Do we need to attach pictures of us which we been taking over the time. WhatsApp chat? etc.

I have been reading about this, people have been uploading all this.. Is it necessary or not?

Can we upload extra documents tagged as Supportive documents e.g in our case my wife's pregnancy scan pictures.

These are only required where both partners are living apart usually when applicant is applying from abroad

There is no fixed template for it and can be written in any simplest language. A brief description of property, tenancy, allowed occupant and most importantly giving permission to the partner not named on tenancy whilst unequivocally confirming of causing no overcrowding are the fundamental ingredients of it.

Thank you so much. Our tenancy agreement is mutual one, we both have our names mentioned on tenancy agreement.

Still I would ask for a letter.

You don't need cohabitation evidences for the inceptive phase of spouse visa rather any recently dated proof of addresses should be fine. Regarding council tax bills, yes attach it as they can reinforce the accomodation related evidences.
