Anyone from August 2020 still waiting for SET-LR application? I applied on 27 August.
I'm waiting...applied on 26 Aug.
I applied IDV only, 24 Aug. Did you guys do dual submissions?
I made ftf appointment on 8th Sep.

No I just did IDV on 7 September. I have noticed various applicants who have just done IDV have received it so I suppose I can assume there are no delayed for IDV.

Correct, no delays for IDV applicants for Set LR specifically!

Agreed. There has been no impact on Set LR timings due to IDV submissions
Any suggestions I make in the forum are out my personal experience and should not be taken as a legal/professional advise.

Yeah, the trend so far would suggest that. I think what potentially happens is once application is submitted, it gets randomly assigned to a case workers queue, and since each caseworker works at his/her own pace and has quite different applications to deal with (some more complex than other case workers, etc), holidays - which is why it might look like applications are not truly dealt with in date order, like how applicant for 26 Aug and 28 Aug have already received decisions last week

By the looks of the timeline thread, I think the home office is working through most Oct Set (o) applications that have done biometrics in person.
Also, I think they are working based on the application date and not the date of biometrics submitted as some people submitted biometrics in early Oct and other only a few weeks ago in Nov, but the common denominator is that they all originally submitted their application in Oct. Yes, seems like lots of traction for October applications!

Dear forum members - looking for advice on my application.
I had originally applied for a T2G extension (25th May) until I varied that application to a SET LR (25th October). I recieved an email from Home Office (2 Nov) confirming whether I indeed intended to vary to SET LR and void the T2G which I replied affirmatively to.
My question is,
a) Will my application submission date be treated as 25th May or 25th Oct?
b) Will the same case worker work on the variation which could mean that my application could be done quicker?
c) I submitted my biometrics for the T2G through the IDV app and separately for the ILR in person on the 25th of Nov. Will this affect my application / seen as dual submission?
I believe my application is straight forward with no abscences etc.
I'm currently not working (voluntary redundancy) and have a job offer in hand but can only join once my ILR is approved.

Hi,
We have applied for ILR via Tier-2 General 5year route for self, spouse and child.
Submitted application on 16th Aug and provided in person biometric on 5th Sept. We are yet to hear from HO and as everyone else we are also quiet anxious with every passing days & Weeks.
When we see on ILR Timelines thread that some people are getting decision letters within a month, we can't stop worry about the days this process is taking. We have aged parents back home and worry about the potential emergency travel that may arise.
Appreciate any information or suggestions or pointers on generally how long ILR processing is currently taking and what to do if a need to travel arise.
This is unusual given that in person biometrics done in October have had decisions. Set O is generally quick unless your application lands in a queue awaiting enquiries. I can totally relate to your frustration although I only applied in Oct. Have you tried to see your status using the Right to Work if you have a valid BRP from your last leave?
Any thoughts on Set(O) August applications with Sept Biometrics, it is frustrating to see November applications getting decisions while August/September people still waiting.
Any one from August/Sept Set(O) still waiting decision ?

I am still waiting. Applied online Sep 1, did IDV Sep 21.
So far from the data points I collected in November it’s an average of 75 days from the date of IDV to approval for SET(O) IDV only. I’m on day 70 now. I hope this week or next will be my turn.
The highest number of days I’ve seen is 80 days from IDV submission to approval.
Don’t know if there’s any science into reading so much but I am running out of patience.

Hi All,
I have a question about the Home Office checks/follow ups.
My current company that is sponsoring my Tier 2 visa is located in Australia with offices in London and the USA. I am working out of the London office, but the HR team and the CEO that signed my letter of employment verification for my ILR application are in Australia.
What I would like to know, what are the chances that the Home Office or a Case Worker needs to speak to my employer?
The number listed on my employment verification is an Australian number and if they try to call during UK working hours they will not get an answer...

I don’t think they call up the employer out of the blue. They will probably email if they really have to. I mean I am not saying I know. I know how the wait can feel like forever and raise unnecessary doubts everyday. Good luck again!! Just pray you don’t land with a case worker who like to take their own jolly time deciding..

Don’t worry you are not alone! I have reserved my afternoon walk for the doubts. Every afternoon I mull over a new one.

Any day now for you. I would actually say any hour now, so many Set (O) decisions from Oct rolled in over the weekend. I am sure you will hear good news this week!

I applied SET LR on 25 Aug. I opted IDV and did face to face bio appointment. I am still waiting.
It seems like from 24 Aug, IDV application is quicker

This is not true for Set LR. There is no effect of IDV or face to face appointment on Set LR decision timelines!

Don't think so - I think decisions have just slowed down a tad for some set LR applications, not entirely sure why, but can only stay patient and hopefully decision coming our way this week or next week

Average processing times were about 85 days a month back. This has increased to 95 to 100 days now
