Spouse visa 2.5 year extension query

Post by relevated » Fri Jun 12, 2020 3:04 pm

To sum up the situation...

- Non-eu spouse visa runs out August 2021
- I have not been in stable employment since early this year and neither has she. Nowhere close to meeting MIR
- baby born last month

I'm in a race against time to find employment, but if I am not able to then what are my choices? I do not have any place to live with spouse in their country and its impractical for them also.

Am I able to get 3rd party support? My sibling has offered to show their entire wage to assist me.

You cannot use third party support, so your siblings offer is irrelevant.

You only need 6 months evidence of employment. You have more than a year before your spouse needs to apply for an extension.

Is it a simple enough process?

Flrfp extension no income at all

Post by relevated » Wed Dec 02, 2020 12:33 pm

I currently have 0 income at all due to covid.
I have a British born baby
I am on UC (about 700 a month)
I am living in friends property at no cost.

I think the best way for me to apply for my wife's spouse extension would be the 10 year family route.

But baring in mind my situation, is this likely to even be accepted and visa renewed seeing as I have 0 income?

Yes apply under 10 years of route.

Do I meet the flrfp adequate maintenance?

Post by relevated » Tue Dec 08, 2020 6:38 pm

I have a British child.

I pay 0 towards council tax or housing costs.

I recieve monthly £729 UC and CB and I have no job at the moment.

Would that amount be suffice to receive the adequate maintenance needed?
