Who was the child adopted from, ie biological parents? Were they family of your wife? Was the adoption done in accordance with the Hague Convention?

Pakistan does not seem to be a signatory of the Hague Convention on Adoption.

The child is also my wife’s nephew , his biological mother died about 5 years ago and he has been adopted from my wife’s brother . The adoption was certified in a Pakistani court by judge . It looks like Pakistan has not signed up to Hague convention Is this a problem please advise thanks

The UK very rarely issue visas to children gifted or adopted from family members. The question will be why the father or other family cannot support and look after the child. What date or when was the child adopted?

Pakistan is also not in the approved country list.

Why can't the father and othe family look after the child?

Why has she waited 5 years to adopt him?

Ukvi will likely take the view that the child was only gifted for adoption for immigration purposes, which doesn't lead to a visa being granted for the child. Ukvi take a very dim view of situations like you have described involving children of family members.

You need to speak to a suitably qualified professional. The adoption is not recognised in the UK for reasons already stated.

I can't comment on the complexities regarding adopting a blood relative, but adoptions in Pakistan must be done according to the Guardian and Wards Act of 1890, and not just on "rupee paper" or "stamp paper"
