ILR from Spouse Visa

Post by alijafri » Fri Dec 04, 2020 2:42 pm

Hi Experts.

Asking this for my brother.

He is currently on Spouse visa which expires this month.

1. Does he have to fill in Set LR or Set M online. ?
2. I filled in Set LR and somehow it doesn't ask for Employment details which was strange.

Am I filling in the right form ? If not can someone send me link for correct form ?

Also, what about the documents needed. I am sorry this may have been asked a few times already but any help would mean alot. Just a bit confused at the moment.

Thanks.

1. If he has completed his 5 years under partner route then can proceed by using the SET M. Otherwise if he has completed his 10 years of legal residence then need to use set lr

2. It doesn't need income details but carefully make sure as which one is appropriate for you because it is a key ingredient of SET M.

Usually for set M except LIUK & B1 English test everything remain same as was in FLRM extension.

Perhaps you mean 2.5 years followed by 2.5 years of extension - Flrm

Indeed 2.5 and 2.5.

Thanks.

Also, does he need to prove his English again ? As in take the english test again ?

He did SELT exam last time he did the application.

Thanks

If it is of B1 level and was previously used in the successful grant of visa then can be reused even it is now expired. See the approved tests:

She need B1 as A2 won't work for set M.
