No Decision until Courier Picks Up Documents

Post by Chipungu » Thu Sep 18, 2008 3:14 pm

I am worried sick and just wanted to confirm if someone has experience this.

I phoned in the morning and was adviced that a decision had been made on my case and that i would get an email from the case worker since I had requested a courier pick when i asked for the decision she said she couldn`t because the documents had not left their offices.

Help I am going crazy.

My timeline
Appliled 8may
Documents received on 16 may
Reference 20 May
Decision ? 18 September 2008

I remember caseworker was happy to tell me on the phone when i called them, i think it's some thing new as I think some one also reported the same behaviour of caseworkers not telling the decision on phone in this forum.

I got an e-mail from Case worker intially requesting to name the courier who will pick my documents, when i called them with the courier information they also told me the decision.

Regards,
Tipu

Hey, I see that you are in South Africa.

I heard that South Africa's turn around time is very fast, and I hope the delay in your application doesn't spell trouble.

Please keep us updated, as I am also very interested.

Good luck.

Hi Chipungu,

Caseworkers can be like that sometimes - non-committal on the phone. Try calling again tomorrow and you may get an answer from some1 different.

Good luck.

A third type of courier insurance is public liability insurance policy, which will cover the goods, the case of public property, your accidental damage caused by delivery vehicles. If you want a wider coverage, you can choose a comprehensive policy, which will include all of the above as well as fire, theft and other risks specific to the policy to be added.
