FLRM 1st Extension application too early, anything I can do

Post by pgarcia » Mon Dec 07, 2020 11:01 am

Hi all,

In a panic I have made a stupid mistake and applied for my FLRM 1st extension slightly too early.

My BRP Residence permit states the following dates :
Issue date: 8TH AUG 2018
Valid Until: 2ND FEB 2021

I submitted the online application yesterday ( 6TH DEC )
I have not yet booked a biometrics appointment.

The letter I received from HO states the current FLRM has granted me 30 months limited leave .
As I am at risk of not having met the 60month criteria for ILR as a result of applying for the extension too early I am not sure what to do.

If I withdraw the application will I be refunded ? The application was made in the UK and I have checked on the gov.uk website but it is not clear . It states you may be refunded the application fee depending what stage your application is at.

Could I push back the biometric appointment to make up the shortfall or does this have no bearing and is the online application date the one that matters ?

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks!
