Long Term ILR and Dependents Visa Validity or Status

Post by sivataras » Mon Dec 07, 2020 6:00 pm

I have entered UK back in Dec 2010 and have been in Tier 2 ICT Visa since then, I have applied for my long term ILR and awaiting decision. My dependents are in Tier 2 ICT Dependent Visa which is valid till end of next year - 2021. I have few clarifications on my dependents visa status upon me getting ILR,

1. Once I get my ILR (hopefully!) and I assume my Tier 2 ICT visa gets terminated - Can my dependents continue on their current Tier 2 ICT Dependent Visa until it's expiry i.e., end of 2021 ?
2. Once it's expire, Would I be able to further extend their visa on the same category or do I need to go for a new visa type ?

Thanks in advance.

1. Their visas won't be cancelled/curtailed once your will obtain your ILR through long residence but it could only happens if they would travel to outside of UK. But they should switch into FLRM as soon as possible.

2. They would need to switch into FLRM as soon as possible preferably very long ago of their current visa expiry to not to face any kind of inconvenience.
