I’m already a British citizen and currently waiting for my passport.
However I have been reading here the last days and I’m terribly sad about the ongoing wait and all attempts to get any information and answers and leaving approved applicants waiting.
Just an example of my MP getting a response from Home Office.
After the 12 week deadline passed beginning last month for my case, my MP has written to HO.
On 4 December they have written a reply saying I have had my ceremony now.
However as in another correspondence before my MP said HO answers after 25 days.
That was the case now and at the previous request of getting information.
Therefore I would say write to your MP to make a representation and be aware it’s 25 days. They will reply.
For the other applicant on here saying they got an approval in error - I would definitely escalate this.
That’s shocking.
I really hope you all get positive news soon.
Bless you.
i am waiting till the 9th , and i will ring my mp again as it will make a month since he contacted H.O.

I was approved for naturalisation on 23-10-2020.
I thought I’d share my experience with the home office.
They’re definitely carrying out external checks even after being approved. As on last Friday I’ve received a DBS certificate from the DBS authority after being requested by home office.
My DBS check came clean as usual.
All the best to everyone who’s in the waiting game....

Please keep us updated once you speak to them this week. I will most likely speak to Mp this week as it be a month since he sent a letter to H.O.
Hi raij, I have an update. Got an email from the HO, they said there seems to be a technical problem and that's why my paperwork wasn't printed. They said they are addressing it with urgency and will endeavour to generate the paperwork as soon as they can.
If it's a technical problem, probably I wasn't the only applicant affected. I hope they could rectify it for everyone affected, so there is a chance there will be some progress on our applications soon.
Oh my Goodnes thats great news ! what email did you use please? i try and send them an email again x
This came as a response to one of the emails I sent to citizenship.support a couple of months ago. At least they respond now which is already a huge change. I hope this is a sign of progress.

That’s strange they don’t send you db it must be something else where you requested because dbs you have to pay home office can check your record without dbs also when they approved your application they do all the check and than approved, never heard of it.

Today was the last day on which I was to expect my invitation letter in the post, according to @baybars1 model. Unfortunately it still hasn't came through yet.
Calling HO helpline, it would seem that the second lockdown has taken a toll on certificates printed last month and that the pace hasn't quite picked up yet for anything beyond August. I am still hopeful to get a ceremony before the end of the year but it seems more and more unlikely every day.
I would probably think that the acceleration that was factored in the model in early October is no longer relevant due to this but I don't know if there are more data points for the second half of September / early October to confirm this.

I’ve never applied for anything recently and I have received a separate letter off the dbs authorities saying that home office requested this dbs check!!!
Anyways this is my conclusion I could be right or wrong!! Just thought I’d share it maybe someone else had similar Scenario!!

Hehe I know, I was following you as I know we had same timeline, hoping that you post you received invitation last week
Anyway, it appears that they are following, for the most part, approval dates in order.
