No appointments available

Post by krisv » Fri Dec 11, 2020 9:43 pm

Hi All,

Just applied for PBS dependent visa extension for my spouse online. However, we were not able to find any appointments online at any of the service centers from now to the 07 Jan 2021..

Is anybody else facing similar issues or are you supposed to upload the documents prior before you are allowed to book an appointment?

Any guidance on this would be helpful.

Her visa is expiring on 16/01/2021 so getting a bit nervous if no appointments are available.

Thanks for your help.

Kind Regards,

Kris

Yeah, that sounds about right regarding appointments in Jan. New slots open up every night at 12 am, but you'll see appointments available after 28 days or so.

There's Christmas break in between so very unlikely to get appointments sooner, unless someone cancels their appointment and you grab that slot.

As your spouse submitted application before visa expiry, there's nothing to worry about. Just make sure you book your biometrics appointment within 2 months of application submission.

You can upload documents now but you'll have time up to 48 hours before biometrics appointment to upload & self submit documents.

Just keep trying for appointment throughout the day, if not, book one at midnight the first one available (just make sure it's not during Xmas break).
My advice is based on personal research/experience, so pls check relevant UKVI sources.

Hi, the immigration team in my company has applied for my visa change to Skilled worker from previous ICT T2 and as PBS dependents for my family. But to complete the application filing, we are looking for Biometric appointment which is proving hard to get in current situation. Because of Home Office concession while I will be allowed to continue working till new visa actually arrives, but is it that my dependent has to stop working after the old visa expires and till the new visa arrives - which we dont know for sure on when it will arrive because of all these delays.
On our part we are doing everything we can to stay legally compliant but if Biometric appointments are not available and subsequent visa approvals and new BRP issuing is taking long, what are our options?

You and your dependents need to apply before visa expiry and your existing conditions continue till a decision is made on your new application. There is no need for your dependents to stop work as they will have an outstanding application with the home office.

Try searching for a biometric appointment at 12am(when slots are released). Appointments should open up 28 days from today

Any suggestions I make in the forum are out my personal experience and should not be taken as a legal/professional advise.

Many Thanks and sincere apologies at same time. I am new to the forum (my first post), hence was a bit lost.
