ya no harm in filling that info. coz integra will not take place to verify those details. but its always better fill in the right details.

Hi All,

I am new to this forum. My husband and my kid have applied for their dependant Tier 1 application from Bangalore on 29th of September and its been 15 working days for today and did not get any update on the status of the application yet. I wanted to know is there anybody who as applied during the same time and have received the passport (if so how many days it took to get the visa stamped) or still waiting.

Thanks,

Shras

Hi All,

My wife has applied as a HSMP dependant ( as my visa is HSMP) from VFS bangalore.

Has anyone who has applied on a Tier1/HSMP dependant in the month of september still waiting for the visa ?

Not sure why is it taking such a long time for the BHC to stamp one dependant visa !! considering the fact that my wife was already in UK from past one year on work permit !!

Hello Vikas,

My husband and my son have also applied for Tier 1 dependant visa on the same day Sep 29th. My husband was also in UK for last 4 years on work permit. They have called the Chennai high commission last week they said that it is going to take another 2 weeks time as they have too many backlog applications and too much of workload.
I think this is the case only with the Chennai office all other offices are taking only 1 week time to process the dependant application.

Hi Shras

I emailed the British high commission in chennai, I got the same reply !!
"Decision is still pending, Contact us back after two weeks " ..
I feel it's a big mistake applying from in any VFS centers which send application to chennai british high commission.
We should have applied elsewhere where timelines are fixed and not as inefficient as chennai HC.

Wanted to know if dependents of such people who received their HSMP approval and EC before April 2007 are (still) entitled to the reduced application fees (INR 18.5K) and if the form to be used for such applications is VAF2?

regards

Yes thats right , if you are applying for a hsmp dependant visa , visa fee is about 18k+ whereas if it is a Tier1 dependant visa it is the same amount as u spend for Tier1 visa.

I thought bank statement's 7 day rule applies for applicants who benefit from HSMP JR and Tier 1 applicants.

I am still holding a HSMP visa. So the rule doesnt apply to me. Appreciate if someone could confirm this.

Many Thanks.

Post by Vish_81 » Mon Nov 24, 2008 11:23 pm

Hi,

All the best for the dependant Visa.

Can you please let me know, do i need to apply my wife's dependant visa using VAF2 or VAF10.

I got HSMP stamped in Mar 2008, approved in Jan 2008.

Thanks for your help.
antouk wrote:jus an update from my end for the benefit of forum members:

Visa type : HSMP
Applied on : 4th Aug
VFS : Chennai, India
Status : Stamped 21 Aug

Proofs submitted :
1. VAF2 form (HSMP depdenent)
2. Spouse passport
3. Copy of UK rental agreement
4. Letter from my landlord approving my wife's accomodation
5. Copy of my offer letter
6. Letter from my company stating "im a permanent employee"
7. 1 Month sal slip
8. 3 months bank statement(2 of them taken in a bank ATM kiosk, 1 original)

While submitting, the VFS guy asked me for more marriage photos(i submitted only one) & marriage invitation, i said i didnt bring those, he said all those r only suggested documentation, none of them r mandatory except marriage certificate. I asked him to proceed with the existing docs.

If u need any info regarding this pm me.

Thanks for all the members of the forum. I'll try my best to share my experience and contribute my 2 cents (rather 2 pence :D )to the forum.

cheers
