Incorrect leaving date of P45

Post by heyitsme » Wed Dec 16, 2020 2:58 pm

My P45 has incorrect leaving date. The date in supposed to be August but they have mentioned September. I am a Tier 2 General visa holder and need to apply for ILR in August 21. They paid more for an extra month which I didn't work but they will get that back by invoicing me.

My employer says they can't amend the P45 and that I should contact HMRC. Please can you tell me what do I need to do as this might cause problems with ILR?

You do not need to send P45

So in your opinion this shouldn't have any bearing on ILR application?

It is not an opinion, you should follow the Tier 2 requirements under the rules

Previous Employer letter 4 weeks before end of employment

Post by heyitsme » Fri Jan 01, 2021 4:40 pm

Before i left my previous employment, I got a letter for UKVI from my employer for ILR application. My previous employer's letter for UKVI is about 4 weeks before end date of employment, my salary, no authorized or unpaid leaves. It mentions my start date and my employment end date which is 4 weeks after the date of the letter. I am wondering if this is appropriate for applying for ILR or do i need to get another letter from them?

Youre overthinking. It is not an issue.
