FLR (M) visa

Post by clariejoseph80 » Fri Dec 18, 2020 12:34 pm

Hello everyone,
Please could I have your valuable advice on this
I have got my ILR through 10-year Long route, now applying for my husband’s FLR (M) visa for the first time below are my queries
My husband is currently on a tier 2 general dependant visa (PBS dependant ), while filling the form I came across this query, could you please guide as to what would be the answer to this, Thanks

Is this the first time you have applied for a partner route, or an extension, with your current partner (including as a fiancé(e) or proposed civil partner)?

What should be the answer to this , It can be answered as Yes or No

When I filled FLR(M) form for my wife(on Tier 2 dependant visa), I mentioned 'No' and answered the below subsequent question as:

Q. Please choose the reason you are applying for an
extension, this includes if you are switching to a
partner visa from another type.

A. First application as a partner from within the UK (for
example, you are currently in the UK on another type
of visa or permission to stay)

Kindly update the Set LR timeline thread with your ILR decision:

Any suggestions I make in the forum are out my personal experience and should not be taken as a legal/professional advise.

Hello once again,

I am confused in answering the below query, my husband is on tier 2 general dependant visa (PBS dependant )

Could you please suggest , Thanks

On what basis did you apply for your current visa, leave to enter or remain or other permission?

1) As the partner of a British citizen, settled person or a person with refugee leave or humanitarian protection in the UK

2) As the child of a British citizen, settled person or a person with refugee leave or humanitarian protection in the UK

3) As the parent of a British citizen or settled child who is under 18, or who was under 18 when you were initially granted leave in this category and was not living an independent life

4) As an adult coming to the UK to be cared for by a relative who is a British citizen, settled person or a person with refugee leave or humanitarian protection in the UK

5) Private life in the UK

6) Leave outside the Immigration Rules, including on the basis of compelling or compassionate circumstances or an Article 8 claim

7) Medical grounds or ill health

8) Discretionary leave

9)None of the above, or I'm not sure

This was confusing for me as well and I entered as below:

Q. On what basis did you apply for your current visa, leave to enter or remain or other permission?
A. None of the above, or I'm not sure

Q. If you know it, enter your current visa, leave to enter to remain or other permission to be in the UK
A. PBS Dependant of my partner who holds Tier 2 Intra Company Transfer Leave to Remain
Any suggestions I make in the forum are out my personal experience and should not be taken as a legal/professional advise.

just to add to what AmazonianX said above. Please do not forget 28 days rule for the most recently issued payslip, bank statement and employment letter should not be older than 28 days before submitting the application online.

FLR (M) visa Rental Contract agreement query

Post by clariejoseph80 » Mon Jan 11, 2021 2:23 pm

Hello everyone,

Please could you advise me on the below, much appreciated, Thanks

I have got my ILR now and applying for my husband FLR (M) visa

He has got Biometric appointment on 20th January 2021

My House contract rental agreement expires on 31st January 2021 and we are not going to renew it as
we are moving into a new home on 1 March 2021 , is it mandatory to provide a House contract rental agreement for FLR (M) visa as we would be staying for the month of February 2021 without a House contract rental agreement in the current property
