How long can Tier1 stay without job?

Hi

I have been made redundant since August 31, 2008. Can you tell me how long I can stay in Uk until I find a job. Have not been able to find anything yet but still looking.

Please respond. I am worried.

As long as your visa is valid for, if I am not wrong. My brother was jobless for 3 months before he got a new job. He is on HSMP.

But what will happen if some one loose job for three months, within the 12 months prior to his filing of FLR. Will it make any difference on the total score under earnings category?

to extend your visa, you need to satisfy the earnings requirement as well so it has an impact on your ability to show proof that you can meet the requirements in extending your visa.

why is this in benefits, you certainly don't want to claim it or that is a perfect way to upset the HO and get rejected for renewal
Although you can claim job contribution benefits but usually only qualify if you had worked 2 years prior to your redundancy.
