Possible closure of UK borders?

Considering the news of the UK Government planning additional actions for airports. What happens if the government decides to close the borders instead of introducing additional testing?

Do you think people with UK partners and visas will be allowed into the country? This appears to be the case in New Zealand, which has had strict measures.

Any predictions on how long possible restrictions may last?

It would appear that as long as there is a flight to the UK then there is not a barrier for visa holders to gain entry. There are no additional restrictions placed on migrants over and ago UK citizens entering into the UK.

If self insulation is require due to the country of departure then it applies to all.

No one can tell if there will be closure of the border - highly unlikely as an island nation and given our reliance on Europe for much of our foodstuffs.
