Is there a version of this for LR?

With each day passing you have little to loose but HUGE to gain. You will be pushed forward by 1 day with every day passing.

If you look tonight, now you will get one for 4th Feb. I assume you booked an appointment 1-2 days ago.

But you maybe will get lucky to find an earlier cancellation. There is no guarantee. It is like a gamble. But worth a try for at least 3/4 days. Not longer than that.

The only way to see cancellations is when you have not booked a slot already.
@Cullivan, Do you know what set O stands for ? I saw some data earlier on it. How do you have visibility of the dates ? I am quite intrigued.

SS
Form SET(O) is the application form for UK Settlement (Indefinite Leave to Remain) of: Work Permit Holder. Highly Skilled Migrant. Overseas Representative. UK Ancestry.

Also see timeline thread:

indefinite-leave-to-remain/ilr-timeline ... 31555.html
Is there any data on Tier 2 general application (now called skilled worker visa) ?

Many thanks Cullinan

Cheers
Hi all,

I have managed to find an earlier appointment so have cancelled mine on 2 nd February in case somebody needs that appointment. Appoints are also available on 17th Jan, i checked sometime back. Please do have a look. There were quite a few appointments available sometime back.

Many thanks and wish you all good luck.

Hi - Is there an email notification from TNT/Home office when the BRP is dispatched? We got visa approval email 2 days back but no email since. I remember back in the days there used to be an email of BRP dispatch the next day.

Not necessarily. Many reported receiving BRP even without a tracking email.

Yes, I'm maintaining one for Set LR, but I have 214 entries so can't post it all here.
All my posts are my personal opinion based on my reading of the immigration rules and guidance. NOT to be taken as professional/legal advice.

Updated with my entry...looks like this is not up-to-date, so feel free to add pending/successful ones folks.

Is there a version of this for LR?
Yes, I'm maintaining one for Set LR, but I have 214 entries so can't post it all here.

Could you send it to me by any chance?

@Aksrava - nope I can't. You haven't been a member long enough so I can't PM you and the immigration boards T&C's do not allow any personal contact details to be shared. If there is something specific you are interested in, I can share here.

That’s understandable, Thankyou for trying. I think I need to stop obsessing, reading the LR thread it seems waiting times are about 4 months right now - unfortunately this means I won’t get my visa in the time that I need to get my student finance for uni :( here’s to praying super priority returns because that’s my only hope now

I know this is me being optimistic, but my situation is entirely dependent on priority services being back now, so I just have a few questions about it -

What would happen if priority services return once your application is sent? Do you select super priority on the online form or is it selected at the UKVAS appointment? Can you select it after application is sent?

It is part of the online form. Once you submit and pay, you cannot change to super priority.

It is unlikely that super priority will be returning any time soon.

Suooeer priority is a UKVI service and NOT a ukcvas one.

I really hope it miraculously does, but most likely not. Sorry I have another probably silly question - what happens at the UKVAS appointment? (I’m planning to upload my documents online and my biometrics are already submitted)

Also I saw that the advice on this thread is to apply 28 days prior but only submit biometrics once the 10 years is completely up just to be on the safe side - my biometrics were recently taken, so they will be reused. If I wait 28 days for the UKVAS appointment is it still okay for me submit online 28 days prior, or should I just wait till the 10 years is completed?

Your biometrics will NOT be reused through the IDV app. It is no longer in place. You have to attend a ukcvas appointment to enroll biomterics. You should apply online when you meet the requirements, ie no sooner than within 28 days before the 10th anniversary of the date you entered the UK.

Will it be way to risky for me to do my biometrics within that 28 day period too? That’s the only hope I have of getting my visa in time but I don’t want it to be rejected on that grounds

You can do so, provided that your current leave is valid up to/beyond the date that you will complete 10 years of stay in the UK, and your current leave has not been curtailed to an earlier date than that etc. There is a provision for caseworkers to consider the date that is most advantageous to your situation which includes the day that the decision is made. Given the current timelines your case most likely won't be considered within the 28 day period but no one can say for certain, so that is the risk you will be taking. Also beware that biometric appointments are difficult to find, so you will most likely be booking your biometrics for the 28th day after you submit your application anyway.

Thankyou so much - I have 7 days between the date I’m eligible and date my current visa expires, and 23 days between the deadline for me to apply for my loan which I need my ILR for from the day I’m eligible. I’m not sure how compassionate the HO will be to someone who just wants to get a uni loan, because people most likely have way worse for which they’d need escalations. In which case the only shred of hope I have is applying 28 days before (and doing whatever it takes to get a biometric appointment as soon as possible - refreshing by the minute) but I keep seeing comments on this thread saying for LR It is too risky to have biometrics submitted before 10 years is fully up which is really scaring me. Thankyou for your advice, I will have to wait anxiously for the next 4 months and see.

Hello all
hope keeping safe

I wonder if you can help me
I have been in UK for more than 5 years under tier 2 general immigrant so applied for ILR in august 2020. I received an email from caseworker last week said that you applied through LR route and it's not applicable to you. I didn't know different sets and just applied, anyway, he was kind to offer variation of application as no decision done.
I have uploaded earlier my docs via IDVP app.
I applied thru Set(O) which seems to be right for me and paid another fees £2404. I'm a doctor working in NHS and COVID has impacted everything.
The caseworker has emailed me that my old application is void now and will receive refund
My questions
Will the date of application considered the original one or date of varied one?
Will I receive full refund of my original application? how long it will take
Can I use IDVP app for the new application or will have to attend physical appointment?
Thank you very much guys

You will get a full refund. Refund may take longer in corona. You must book an appointment and attend at UKVCAS now. IDV is the past.

Thank you Cullinan, reassuring news
what about date of application, Will I need to wait another 6 months or will consider the date of my original application ? I don't want to lose the last 4.5 months. Thanks

Different scenarios. Read through and see what applies in your case:

Also, I hope, once you started the SET(O) application you mentioned your pending SET(LR) application details there?? Also better to add a cover letter also. Treat this SET(O) application as a new application. Upload documents and submit biometrics in due course.

Please start your own new topic on the ILR forum for any future follow up questions. This topic is specifically to discuss biometrics and delays. Thank you.

Hi all,

Was wondering if there has been any recent stats of approvals for SET(M) applicants who applied in September?

Thanks.
It looks that processing SET (M) applications is in chaos and no one knows what's going on.
It does seem very chaotic indeed :(

Tempted to email UKVI. Doubt it'll make any difference though.

Hi all I submitted my set LR today then I received my payment confirmation and at the end I been ask to book UKVCAS appointment and upload documents
My question is do I need to upload my documents through UKVCAS or i have to book appointment then I get scanned and send through them?
Secondly when they release new appointments on UKVCAS any specific day or time?
Lastly I must have to book appointment or the app (IDV) still working?
Thanks in advance

Step 1: Pay and submit application via UKVI.

Tip: Date of application is the date you pay and submit online, biometrics date is irrelevant.

Step 2: After payment, you will reach “further actions page.” If you click on “book an appointment,” system will reroute you to create an account on UKVCAS where you can upload your documents and book an appointment.

Tip: You are sent an access code to set up an account on UKVCAS which usually lands up in Junk folder.

Step 3: Booking an appointment

You must book an appointment now. IDV is the past.

Tip: You are given a deadline to submit your biometrics on the further actions page. Since the backlog for biometrics has subsided, you should meet the deadline.

Step 4: Now you can submit your documents to UKVI via UKVCAS portal even before your biometrics. The option usually appears when you have uploaded all your documents, sign out and sign in again. The option can be found on the “document upload page” right at the bottom.

Note: You can only self-submit once, so make sure your documents are complete before you self-submit.
You will be able to add and submit more documents at your appointment again if any missed documents.

Tip: The best approach would be to benefit from the new self-submit feature.

Step 5: Once the process as stated above is completed, you should wait for a decision.

Hi,

What do you mean by the comment "IDV is the past"? What happens to the applicants who submitted through IDV in Aug/Sep?
Thanks,
